It seems like he’s really getting a lot from the starter reps. If they keep starting him and giving him starter reps he may keep improving.Zappe keeps his feet moving, which plays a big role in that. Mac gets flat-footed and can't turn and survey the field as easy. That's definitely an asset Zappe has.
Even more surprising is Bailey couldn't throw the ball worth anything in the second half against the Giants. Since then, he's gotten it fixed and took a step forward. Mac talked a lot, but it was just a repeat each week. Bailey's quietly improved in each of the last three games.
IMO He's got better confidence in the pocket, so he can step into his throws.Zappe’s got more zip.
I don’t think draft slots 8-10 away really makes that much if a difference. Picks never turn out to have been made in order if the best players.
The positive bump on the organization of finishing playing strong football as well as being able to evaluate players under reasonable circumstances is more important in my opinion.
We’re winning… Nice to win but not getting a high pick at this point maybe not so nice…A terrible mistake!!
