I just realized the NFL schedule is now unbalanced within divisions.

Miami has 9 HOME games, and only 7 AWAY games, with one game international.

I can't understand who came up with this plan.

Vegas gives the home team 3 points, so effectively Miami is being given extra points in a couple games this season.

How did the NFL come up with this?

I could easily devise a schedule to prevent this from happening.

Every team in our division should host an international game as a HOME game. Every team in the opposing division we play (whichever division has 9 road games) should play the AFC East team on the road in an international game. That's 4 games. Do the same between 2 other divisions. That's 8 games.

This is not hard at all.

I think the NFL wants more diversity in their overseas games instead of just making every one AFC East vs. NFC East. Plus the Giants sure wouldn't approve of that plan since they went overseas last year.

The NFL has moved towards making the International games be more important by featuring 2 teams in the same conference. Last year, all 5 games were 2 teams from the same conference. This year, 4 of 5 are. Your solution approaches from the belief that the NFL focuses on fairness. They don't. Fairness takes a back seat to profit.

The international game is an away game so that's 9 Home 8 Away which is about as balanced as you're going to get with an odd number of games.

Germany game will be Week 10 vs the Colts (So the BYE will be Week 11)

It's funny that the Pats got rid of all their German players the year before having to play there and those players were the main reason the Pats were selected to go to Germany.

I'm talking about AWAY games at opposing team's home stadiums.

Where it's more difficult to play than in front of a neutral crowd.

I thought my point was obvious.

It's not because it's wrong.

How is it wrong?

They go to play at an opponent's stadium 7 times.

They host 9 games in Miami.

They play 1 game in front of a neutral crowd internationally.

How in the world is that wrong?

Patriots have the toughest schedule, apparently.

This reminds me of the 2007 season when they played a ton of playoff teams in the regular season.
good

ain't gonna get better by beating up on cupcakes... this team has talent, its needs to step up its game

and I am shocked that we are playing the clots not the saints in germany...

A neutral site game is an away game for both teams.

Wrong.

A neutral site game is a neutral site game.

An away game is playing at the opponent's home stadium.

These are 2 ENTIRELY different things.

But beyond that, the Phins have 9 games hosted at THEIR Stadium. The Bills and Patriots have 2!

They're not playing at their home stadium. It's a road game.

You're being obtuse and everyone reading this knows it.

If you can't tell the difference between an away game at the opponent's stadium and a neutral site game, there's no helping you.

Have at it with any idiocy you want to respond with. I will say no more.

For those looking to place bets on a game many months away...

Current line is Patriots (-5.0) vs Colts in Germany.

I think the point is that a team has a distinct advantage with a home game and disadvantage with a road game. A neutral site has no theoretical advantage for either team.

For the Dolphins to have 9 home games (games with advantages) while other teams in their division only have 8 home games is somewhat unfair.

If a team is scheduled to have 9 home games and 8 away games, their overseas game should be one of their home games. If the NFL eventually gets to 16 neutral games, I am sure every team will have 8 home, 8 away, 1 neutral to keep things fair.

When are teams going to say we're not giving up a home game to play overseas?
