DRAFT 2022 PTP Draft Board / Pats Draft Talk

Question Draft guru's I know BB should be interested in Clemson's CB Andrew Booth does anybody know what's the final prognosis on WR Justyn Ross? I know he has a slew of injury concerns and didn't run particularly well at Clemson's pro day. But I feel he might be a guy who's worth the gamble selection. When would you take a shot at him? I say Third Round definitely Fourth Round I wouldn't take him before that granted if he checks out...thoughts.

I'm honestly not sure what you're referring to here. The draft has been in late April or early May for at least a decade. In 2014 it didn't conclude until May 10! You have to go back all the way to 2000 to find a draft that started in the teens. Prior to that, however, it was usually in the 20s of April, just like it is today. Even in the 80s, they held it in May sometimes: April 30 to May 1 in 1985, for example. Sorry, but it seems like your ire is misplaced.

2021: April 29 to May 1.
2020: April 23 to April 25.
2019: April 26 to April 27.
2018: April 26 to April 28.
2017: April 27 to April 29.
2016: April 28 to April 30.
2015: April 30 to May 2.
2014: May 8 to May 10.
2013: April 25 to April 27.
2012: April 26 to April 28.
So it did happen. I remember the "2 days in mid-April" drafts. Didn't realize it's been that long. Kudos to you for doing the research. Time flies by.....

George Pickens is an emotional player, in some respect sort of like Mac Jones. Have to learn to control that @ the next level or you can cost yourself and team dearly.

Steve Smith was a hot head and BB tried to bring him over once or twice, so something tells me that BB could tolerate on-field aggression if he's a good soldier inhouse.
I really like him for us I think George Pickens is going to an IMPACT Player from this Draft class I love his nastiness on the field. The Patriots love to Draft form Georgia even though the dividends have been somewhat disappointing ie... Wynn - Sony Michel. I hope they don't stop this year because of that.

And now from the "that's a good problem to have" department, Tannenbaum's mock draft shows Andrew Booth, Derek Stingley Jr. and Jordan Davis available all at #21. You can't pass up Stingley if this happens. High risk, high reward:

Kinda unrealistic I can see Andrew Booth, realistically but Derek Stingley Jr. and Jordan Davis are definitely Top 15 players in this Draft.

You actually had me curious, so I ended up going back to the 70s and 80s, and found that the draft happened in May more often at that time than it does now! Crazy that we've only had a couple times in the teens. I would also prefer to see it earlier, but it seems like it's not changing anytime soon, based on the historical dates. I like your idea better, though!

I have a 4th on him. Not someone I'm going after or counting on but would think about it if he's there.

Since there aren't the blue-chip QBs ready to run 1, 2, and 3, I wonder what kind of return GMs are expecting for early 1st round picks.
Yea imagine there will be a little more flexibility when / if it's not a QB.

I'm penciling in Willis, Pickett and Ridder going in RD1. Just not sure if Ridder goes before or after 20, I'm guessing after rn but we'll see.

Jesus, Matty P. is looking THICK.

He'll have hip problems soon if he already doesn't. I'm guessing he's dealing with something. Almost hoping bc if not he's extremely lazy to the point it'll kill him decades early.

The contrast with Bill is night and day and Bill has a few decades on him.
