2022 Patriots Roster Cut Down Day Thread

The two biggest disappointments for me are Ray and Lil Jordan. Hopefully, they will clear waivers and go to the Practice Squad. Those last few spots were going to be very difficult to choose from
I think Humphrey will be back if Montgomery ends up on the IR.

Hines is a C/G, correct? I seem to remember seeing that he played some Center coming out of college.
I can't recall the Patriots working him at center, but that would smart move.

**** off.

And Ausbacker jumps the shark.. *sigh*

Tired of whiny fans like you spouting BS about nepotism when numerous coaches have stated that the Belichick boys are two of the hardest working coaches and that Belichick is hardest on them.

He was LSU’s backup center in 2019, so he practiced there plenty even though he never had to start a game there in college.

Personally, I think we should just let people express how they feel without someone questioning their fandom or their decency as a human being because they might express an opinion or emotion different from what you’ve thinking or feeling.

Is it a recent phenomenon where people literally get offended because someone disagrees with them. If you’re so weak in your opinions or in your sense of optimism that someone expressing a different opinion or pessimism effects you so badly that you have to lash out or belittle people for it, well, cut it out.

This forum is going downhill fast. Wet behind the ears mods are more worried about nonsense like trolling while turning a dead eye to how posters are treated and often piling on themselves for good measure.

I followed Miguel and “Patscap” here, so I’ve been kicking around here for a long time. I owe Ian and Patsfans debts I’ll never be able to pay, but this isn’t the same place, and I find that sad.

Not really esp. when Montgomery and Thornton return.

compared to last season:
core ST lost - Bethel, King, Bolden (Langi)
core ST gained - Schooler, D.Mitchell, Montgomery, Peppers + Thornton + Jon Jones + Jennings

Bethel was quiet this preseason so its not a surprise. On the other hand Cody Davis was a monster, Schooler, Mitchell really shined and Thornton was unstoppable as gunner (one of Bethels jobs)..

Jamie Collins was a core guy on punt coverage and punt blocking after he returned to the team.

That being said, I REALLY like the additions of Schooler, Mitchell, and Marcus Jones. I didn't see enough of Peppers to feel one way or another.

Montgomery and Thornton could improve special teams units that should be very good.

Love that Hines made the team...great potential!!! Wish that Ray would have snuck on. Also glad to see Wade there.

2 undrafted rookies made the team.
To tell the truth I haven't read much on this forum about Hines, I guess I need to read up on him What is his great potential? I'm not disputing that, I just haven't heard that much about him, and I'm all for having some high-upside rookies on the 53.

Me neither. Hes done ok but didn't think he'd make the team.

Judging o-line play isn't easy from the fan's PoV.

Apparently they like him.

Thanks for the info. I know they had an LSU center in to start, but he didn't even make it past the physical..

There's a different between expressing an opinion and people continuously whining the way some are doing.

I disagree that the forum is "going downhill fast". I also disagree with your characterization of the mods here.

That's the **** that brings this board down - not the ones who hold the whiney *****es accountable for their diarrhea of the keyboard.

I don’t think anyone is offended, really, it just gets difficult to read your constant glass is shattered on the floor takes.

It was expected by many, but I am disappointed Anderson isn't on the 53. Bethel is a surprise cut and I'm annoyed that Tavai is still around. For the most part, this is a good looking roster to me. I hope Nixon makes it to the ps and I'm guessing we scour every cut for a backup tight end.

You do realize that you just posted that everyone should be able to say whatever they feel, then went on to criticize people for the way they post, don’t you?

Nobody is a bigger Patriots fan than I am, and how dare you say otherwise. I also have a high sperm count.
Oh yeah, how long have you had season tickets?
