2022 Free Agent Receivers - Will the Patriots Target One?

That Beli kool aid would make grandma look like a super model late at night. It distorts one's views.

You really should take your head out of your rear end and read what's posted instead of just the insults of a someone who can't be bothered to read what's right in front of him.

I only posted the PFF TEAM Stats. @cupofjoe1962 is the one who chose them as his initial site to claim that the Patriots receivers sucked. But then he lied about how PFF had the players rated and got shown to be a liar. Then he changed tactics and made some other absurd claim about there being no site that showed the Patriots weren't the "bottom of the barrel". So I posted NFL.COM which shows that they were actually better than average and top 10 in 2 categories and then I posted the PFF Team Stat Rating that showed Joe to be wrong. It's not my fault that HE chose the site and it didn't actually support his claims.

You started off claiming that the PFF rankings showed the Pats sucked, but couldn't be bothered to post a link. I destroyed that argument by posting the ACTUAL PFF rankings. And you ignored it. Imagine that.

Then you demanded that anyone show you ANY Ranking that showed the Pats receivers to be better than bottom of the barrel. I did that your response was predictable. You claimed it didn't count because it wasn't the same as what you put up.

If my stats are "irrelevent" then so are yours. I showed the entire list of wide receivers for teams from PFF instead of cherry-picking like you did.

And now you're pathetically attempting to change your argument again. Fact is that your argument was complete and utter garbage from the start with. I destroyed it by NOT cherry-picking stats the way you did.

At no point has anyone said that the Pats couldn't upgrade their WR roster. That a false claim by you. Teams can always improve their depth. No one argued against that. But that wasn't what you were claiming. YOU were claiming that the ALL SUCKED. PERIOD. End of story.

I think the Patriots have one of the worst set of starting receivers for 2022.

Houston & Green Bay are the only two
Teams I can see right now that possibly have worse receivers & Green Bay will draft a WR early. Houston is in rebuild tank mode.

I also feel we had the worst set of starting receivers in 2020 & 2021.

Your idiotic stats showed the Patriots with better receivers in 2021 than Arizona & I wasn’t the only one who laughed at that.

Have another cup of Koolaid put me on ignore.

I respect you at much as you respect me.

The Patriots currently have one of the worst set of starting receivers in the NFL in 2022

Who other than GB & Houston currently have worse receivers??????

I'd like the Pats to draft at least one or two WR's in this draft and taking the first WR no latter then the 2nd round.

Mac needs a primary, chain moving go to guy that irritates defenses. Going in with Myers as your #1 is tragic.
We have the go-to guys: Bourne and Henry. We might add Myers AS A THIRD go-to guy. Patriot go-to guys have always been best at intermediate routes.

What folks yearn for, as they have done every year is someone to reliably stretch the field. Some think that Agholor can be that player.

Almost, everyone agrees that we need a WR as an upgrade to Harry, plus the usual late round, UDFA, and JAG FA longshots. I suspect that Belichick agrees.

Kendrick Bourne:

Only in your little mind is 90 receptions for 912 yards (10.2 YPR) > 55 receptions for 800 yards (14.5 YPR)

Amon St. Brown did good for being really the ONLY WR the Lions had last year.

You're a joke. Just goes to show you can't be bothered to READ. I did not say they had the 7th best receivers in 2022. I showed you where they rated based on the PFF stats YOU chose to rely on to begin with. It's not my fault that the site YOU decided to push didn't support your ridiculous claims!

LIAR. I didn't have the Patriots rated higher than the Cardinals. That was the SITE YOU referred to. I pulled PREMIUM TEAM STATS from them. I have no control over their ratings.

You should really work on comprehension because trying to blame me for your issues is pretty laughable.

Ok ….. Big mouth ….. Here is a challenge for you.

I want you to pick from any of the Patriots 3 current starting receivers for 2022 & I will take St Brown.

Take your pick
Bourne
Meyers
Agohlor

Let’s use fantasy points to tell who had a better year.

1 point for a reception
1 point for 10 yards rushing or receiving
6 points for a touchdown
-1 for a lost fumble.

If you win….. I will leave Patsfans forever.
If I win…. You go back to the Bruins & never post here again.

I am all in
You got the balls #DaBruinz?

Your all mouth….. you ain’t got the balls.

As an upgrade to Harry?

What about updating our starters?

Do you want to go into 2022 with all 3 of
These guys starting?

Bourne
Meyers
Agholor

People still stuck in this mindset that you don't need talented guys because Brady made it work. But Brady is the GOAT and we saw with talented guys his stats are much better. And people forget that Brady had Gronk and Edelman who were elite receivers. None of these guys are anywhere near their level.

I don't think you want to put average talent around Mac jones and hope he works it out. All while other teams are putting elite receivers around their young QBs.

I do think the draft is where they will go though

Agree: you know the old saying "you are what you eat"? Let them put average talent around Mac they'll see how average he is. Mac ain't the GOAT he can't make chicken salad out of chicken you know what. Good skilled players are going to make Mac look good keep up with times BB the game has changed. It's a QB/WR league now. The square peg in a round hole approach won't cut it.

Yet, it appears that's exactly what Bill is thinking.

Looks like Kraft is all in. The draft it is.

It's not a coincidence that Joe burrow and Josh Allen looked elite once they got chase and diggs.

Bourne is a coin flip with him. Both are solid #2WRs.

Meyers is a great safety valve guy, but isn't going to scare anyone at this point, or probably ever. He's a guy you want on your team, but hope he isn't seeing the most chances.

Agholor is a different type of #2 altogether, who forces over-the-top coverage (unlike Byrd).

Let’s use fantasy points to tell who had a better year.
Mystery solved.

You KNOW fantasy football.

You have no clue about football.

Congratulations.

Q: 2022 Free Agent Receivers - Will the Patriots Target One?

A: Nope
A: Maybe...if someone like OBJ looks like a possible bargain.

A: Sure, someone like Humphries, who can come in and compete for a spot.

In the spirit of the question, your answer is correct.

Why is the Humphries market so quiet??

Any time you mention a possible upgrade to the Patriots some koolaid drinker chimes in not wanting to upgrade.

I just want Mac Jones to get talented receivers and you would think I am the devil.

If you go back in the archives, you will see I had a long spat with many koolaid drinkers because I called career backup Hoo-Man a jag.

A career backup is not a jag?

I respect you at much as you respect me.

They aren't "MY" idiotic stats. They are the ACTUAL STATS from PFF. The site YOU chose originally. The site that CONTRADICTS your take despite your attempt to use it to JUSTIFY your laughable opinion.

I also went to NFL.com and got the numbers that also showed you to be wrong.

Both are FACTS that contradict what you stated originally.

You talk about respect yet you have regularly insulted highly respected people like @BaconGrundleCandy who also disagreed with your take to this point.

You're the one spewing toxic poison. There is no kool-aid drinking on my end. But I'm not surprised you think that. That's your go to attack whenever someone disagrees with your unfounded opinions.
