The 3 road games in a row are as much of a gift as 3 road games in a row can be.

@Chargers - sort of a home game isn't it?
@Rams - Thursday night. Best scenario for a Thursday road game. Just stay in L.A.
@ Miami - 10 days off before the 3rd road game.

This is going to be an interesting season. It's like we just finished reading the greatest 2000 page novel. Now time to pick up a new book. What's coming on the pages ahead is a mystery, and I am pumped to find out what happens!

The Patriots have 5 games in prime time at the moment:
  • Week 2, SNF, Seahawks
  • Week 9, MNF, JEST
  • Week 10, SNF, Ratbirds
  • Week 14, Thursday, Rams
  • Week 16, MNF, Bills
Of those, only the Ratbirds game is eligible for flexing out.

dude absolutely love your prediction here!!!! LFG!!!! Go PATS!!!!

1.) Love the schedule!!!

2.) Fish fry in week 1 @ Gillette then two tough roadies @SEA and @ KC sandwiching the Vegas Raiders at home. I think we can go 2-2 here.

3.) Denver, SF, @BUF, and @NYJ. Possibly 3-1 and I love playing two road AFCE games in the first half of the season.

4.) Baltimore, @Hou, and Arizona. I like our chances at going 2-1 here.

5.) Back to back L.A. games! Perfect bonding time before the last AFCE run. 1-1 at worst.

6.) Warm December game in Miami followed by BUF/NYJ at home to finish out! 2-1.

7.) 10-6 and AFC East Champions, Baby!

Is this season really going to happen?

This could’ve been way way worse. A few good breaks here.

Any record above 8-8 is a win season for Pats to build on....

More cap space next year and some rookies will blossom in year 2.....

Will know what the QB situation is more clearly.....

BB/McDaniels work their magic...Josh will have TE's this year.....

So weeks 3 and 4 are the throwaway weeks if they need to shorten the season. No division games those weeks.

Home vs Raiders and at Chiefs. Crazy that they’d risk that one.

NOT GOOD:
1. At Seattle week 2 and at KC week 4 is really unfortunate with a young QB at the helm, UNLESS those early games are played without fans.
2. Week 6 bye is too early.
3. Nov/Dec stretch with 6/8 games on the road.

GOOD:
1. Bye comes before SF game, more time to prepare.
2. Back to back games in LA, reduces cross country travel.
3. At Miami in December.

This looks like a sched where we could start out 3-5/ 4-4, and get hot down the stretch and finish 9-7/10-6

8-8 or 9-7 at best. Nothing wrong with lowering our expectations/being realistic for a year. Maybe Stidham grows a bit and next year we can turn it up? Who knows, but i don't expect 10 wins this year. Losing the GOAT has to have some psychological ramifications, even with the evil genius.

Everyone reading this schedule and getting exited when we know in the back of our minds the season likely won't happen Strange times

Tampa also has 5 primetime games.

How quickly things have changed for them.
TNF and MNF are primetime, but those aren't really where the NFL puts the prestigious games. The mark of prestige for a team is playing the major 4:25 Sunday afternoon game ("major" meaning the telecast that goes out to most of the country and not, like, the Cardinals/Lions game that goes out to 10% of the country) or SNF.

It is obviously subject to change. SNF can flex, not to mention the Sunday afternoon games shift around quite a bit. As of now, the Patriots have 4 such games and Tampa Bay has 5 this year. Last year the Patriots had 7 and Tampa Bay 0.

Could have been worse. Not crazy about the early bye or the short week leading up to the Ravens but at least Team Bluetooth isn’t coming off a bye themselves this time.

Not that surprised we got a lot of prime time showcase games. We’re still the Pats and a huge draw. Two brutal road games to start will be a great test for JS4. Looking forward to it.

Even more brutal than expected. 3-13 here we come. In the running for that high pick. It's the revenge tour for the rest of the league. Beat the Pats when they are having a down year.

8-8 would be a good season...
