2017 NFL Training Camp & Preseason Injuries

Pats might target Enunwa though . poor boy . and in a contract yr

I can see the Jets all over Lucien AND Carr, considering neither will probably make the Pats. Just too deep at WR (which is a good thing).

Donkeys spent a lot of $$$ on him.

Lewis was expected to be Baltimore's starting LG. This means one of their rookies - 4th round pick Nico Siragusa, or 5th round pick Jermaine Eluemunor will be forced to start earlier than had been planned.

Miami Dolphins 2nd round pick, WR Raekwon McMillan is out for the season with a torn ACL.

McMillan was penciled in as Miami's starting strong side OLB. His backup is Trevor Reilly, who was on the Pats practice squad for two months last year.

McMillan, who has been penciled in as Miami’s starting inside linebacker, was replaced by Mike Hull, who worked inside alongside Kiko Alonso and Lawrence Timmons during the first quarter. Hull finished the game with one tackle.

If McMillan’s injury is serious, his absence would significantly deplete one of the team’s thinnest positions from a depth standout.

Isn't Siragusa injured? Tore his ACL, MCL and PCL, right?

You're right, good catch. He's out for the season as well after that August 1 injury.

Ravens rookie OL Nico Siragusa will be out for season after he sustains multiple tears in left knee

Flacco (back) is going to miss the entire preseason; they're hoping he will be ready for week one vs Cincy.

They could move C Ryan Jensen to guard. That would mean either starting Matt Skura (spent 2016 on their PS) at center, or trying to sign a vet (Nick Mangold, Jeremy Zuttah).

Otherwise it's the 5th round rookie Jermaine Eluemunor as the starting LG.

The rest of their interior line has no NFL experience.

Flacco may not make it through the season, especially after the next inevitable injury to their OL.

Sorry for the boy. Loved him pre-draft. Interested to see him translate to NFL. Great opportunity of taking the starting LB job from the start now gone. Hard setback.

Bill seemed to like him as well. Selfishly hope the first step of finding his way to NE..

And that's on top of Urschel's surprise retirement -- their interior OL situation is pretty dire. I stopped by a Ravens board and they're understandably freaking out. There's a lot of speculation about going after Zuttah or Mangold and moving Ryan Jensen out to guard.

I also learned there that UDFA WR Tim White, who apparently had looked good and was widely expected to make the team, is also heading to IR with thumb injury requiring surgery. And thus I discovered that ours is not the only fan base that believes in the mythical "stashing" of rookies to IR. Lots of Ravens fans posted that they're clearly just "stashing" White...after the first preseason game.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

RB Bishop Sankey's season (and probably career) is over. He was the 54th player selected in the 2014 draft by Tennessee, and finished with 702 yards from scrimmage. The next year he was often a healthy scratch, and was cut after just two seasons with the Titans.

Pats had him on their practice squad for a couple months last year.

Perhaps the Dolphins and Ravens will replace the logos on their helmets with red crosses when they play Thursday.

Cornerback Tony Lippett, who was emerging as an ascending, trustworthy member of Miami’s secondary, will miss the 2017 season after suffering a torn Achilles.

The non-contact injury happened during Monday’s practice.

“He jumped up and came down. Nobody touched him,” Dolphins coach Adam Gase said of the injury.

Dolphins cornerback Tony Lippett suffers season-ending Achilles injury

On Tuesday, coach Adam Gase said that Lippett is headed to injured reserve because of the injury he suffered during Monday’s practice.

Lippett, who started 13 games and contributed 67 tackles and a team-leading four interceptions last season, spent most of training camp working with the second-team defense, playing behind Byron Maxwell and Xavien Howard as a boundary cornerback.

Dolphins end injury-filled training camp with walk-through practice

Training camp has been brutal for the Dolphins as far as injuries. Ajayi, quarterback Ryan Tannehill (knee), running back Kenyan Drake (concussion), guard Ted Larsen (biceps), middle linebacker Raekwon McMillan (knee), and cornerback Tony Lippett (Achilles) all went down. Tannehill, McMillan and Lippett are out for the entire season. Larsen, it’s believed, could return at some point.

Miami Dolphins to work out veteran linebacker Maualuga

Having lost two linebackers to season-ending injuries, the Dolphins have summoned several linebackers to team heaquarters for a Wednesday workout, including NFL veteran Rey Maualuga, according to a team source.

Maualuga, 30, spent his first eight seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals, starting 108 of the 119 games in which he appeared and produced 343 tackles, four sacks, seven interceptions and six forced fumbles.

Last season, he started six games and appeared in 14, producing 17 tackles and an interception and playing 30 percent of the Bengals’ defensive snaps.

The Dolphins’ linebacker depth was depleted by the loss of Raekwon McMillan to a season-ending knee injury and Koa Misi to the aftermath of neck surgery.

While the identity of the other linebackers coming in wasn’t revealed, don’t be surprised if the Dolphins also look at middle linebacker Perry Riley, who started from 2012 through 2015 for Washington, then started 11 games for Oakland last season.

Aside from those listed above, the Fins are also dealing with injuries to center Mike Pouncey (hip), safety Reshad Jones (calf), wide receiver Rashawn Jones (foot) and running back Jay Ajayi (concussion).

Note: in case any of you were wondering, Tony Lippett is a cousin of former Patriot CB Ronnie Lippett from the eighties. You may remember him as the guy that Michael Floyd annihilated with a highlight reel block in week 17 that resulted in a 77 yard TD for Julian Edelman, giving the Pats a 27-14 lead.

Colts Center Ryan Kelly will need foot surgery and miss part of the season.

They tried rest and didn't fix the problem, now kinda late to have this kind of surgery.

And his backup is also dealing with a foot injury.

Now even if Luck is ready to play at a certain point in the season how confident will he be playing with backup center and a O-line that already killed him.

Anyone watching browns X Giants, OBJ took a nasty hit on the knee, reminded me the Gronk knee injury.
