2017 NFL Combine Thread

Not bad for James Connor. Right in line with several guys much lighter. I don't think anyone expected him to break into the 4.5 range, so it shouldn't change his grade at all.

Not bad for his size.

So much for vertical translating to explosion.. I know that it's difficult to change tests at the combine because you'd have to throw away all the historic comparisons but one would think that 20 years later we might have more representative tests available..

Is it just me, or are times slower than usual this year?

Clement and connor with dissapointing 40 times. Gonna have to improve that on pro day. Hunt as well.

Alvin Kamara helped himself alot. Very athletic.

Some guys dissapointed. They can always improve their times on pro day. I was dissapointed with connor

Are you serious? No one expected Clement or Connor to run under 4.6. And Kamara just ran a 4.65 on his second attempt. So these comments in conjunction just seem a little short sighted, no offense.

@I.M. Fletcher @reamer

Did you notice that Bashams's arms grew by over an inch to 34.5" and put on by 10lbs to 269. Also now listed at 6'4". Those are all good numbers and fits in much more with what I saw on film. Those Senior bowl weigh ins are useless.

He said he was sick just before the Senior Bowl and dropped a lot of weight. He told everyone that he would be around 270 for the Combine. Good for him. He and Walker are really my primary targets now.

Naw. I though they would run better than that. Not impressed with this running back class.

I thought Joe Williams, Dalvin Cook, and Marlon Mack would be a LOT faster. On tape they really show special explosion. So that's more my disappointment. For the bigger guys, I never expected much more speed.

That said, this RB class is very good. Lots of natural runners and physical players. It's helpful to look at historical comps. Ridley, before his fumbling issues and injuries, did a great job here. He ran a 4.73 at the Combine. But he was an instinctive guy who had a knack for picking up the yards that were there.

Height: 5112
Weight: 225
40 Yrd Dash: 4.73
20 Yrd Dash: 2.77
10 Yrd Dash: 1.66
225 Lb. Bench Reps: 18
Vertical Jump: 36
Broad Jump: 09'10"
20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.21
3-Cone Drill: 6.78

I would put t.j Watt in there. Wouldn't shock me if he ran a 4.6 40 time

He absolutely needs that arm length since he doesn't have great athleticism.

Good sign for him for sure.
