Why did they resign fleming. He can't move, most unathletic tackle i've seen.

Great job LD. Thanks

If I were a GM in direct competition with the Patriots and in need of corner help like the Fins or Squeelers I would make Butler an offer with an eye towards pushing the Patriots to match when they would much prefer to have him play next year at the tender.

If you offered him 5/45-50 you get a #1 corner. If you're Butler lets say you play out this year at 3.9M and then get 4@13M that's 56M total but you're risking another year at 3.9M to get that money vs being assured it now. Make the guarantee say 25-30M to sweeten the pot. I'd rather than 25M in the bank and only 45M total vs 3.9M and maybe that's all I ever see vs the potential to make 56M.

If the Pats don't match you give up a late first for a pro-bowler caliber player. If the Pats match you've pushed their hand into dollars they hadn't planned on dedicating this year. It's a move Bill has done albeit with Sander, Hogan and others.

Should just add "in jail" to Floyd :)

Just an FYI re Kendricks

Lance Kendricks - Unsigned Free Agent - 2017 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com

Kendricks has spent his entire six-year career with the Rams, catching a personal-best 50 passes last season. Handpicked by Josh McDaniels in 2011, Kendricks was supposed to be playmaker, but ended up a lumberer. Now 29, Kendricks' best quality is durability. He is not a good blocker. Kendricks' release creates $4.25 million in cap space, and is good news for sophomore Tyler Higbee. Mar 10 - 12:47 AM

Dont know the guy

Neither do I. Some info:

Lawrence Guy - Baltimore Ravens - 2017 Player Profile - Rotoworld.com

A key rotational piece for the Ravens' defensive line, Guy appeared in all 16 games last season and received very strong marks from Pro Football Focus for his run defense. The Redskins need help up front, especially against the run, and even more so if DE Chris Baker leaves as a free agent. Guy turns 27 next Friday and could be a nice get as a second-tier addition. The disadvantage is that if the Patriots match they have the best CB-duo in the league for the next 5 years. And you are basically tempting BB to match. If you offer 5/45, the Patriots essentially lost ~5m in capspace this year, when they have an abundance, and gain ~4m for each of the next 4 years, assuming they were going to resign Butler at 13m/yr. Given the expanding cap you might even have to pay 14-15m; so you save 5-6m/yr.

Almost makes me wonder if that is BB's plan :D
