2017 Draft Prospect Thread

Just had my first look at Garett Bolles and oh my! Haven't seem that athleticism since the Armstead/Johnson year.

This is a great breakdown of him on a screen play. The athleticism to duck inside the DE, the change of direction and then the speed to get out for the cut block are fantastic.

He'll wow you w/ his athleticism and movement. Im not big on scheme this/that but he seems like a great Zone/gap fit and if he adds some power he'll be something.

Like his size and frame. Mean n nasty

Joe Mixon and Baylor WR Ishmael Zamora will not get an invite to the NFL Scouting Combine that starts on February 28th.

No Comment. Draft.

He certainly did wow me with his athleticism.

He will be an interesting player to watch. Not exactly a tactician at this point, but his athleticism definitely pops off the screen.

He's had some injury issues and is already 25, so there will be real questions about how good he can really be. At the same time, same was said about vollmer, many moons ago, and he still ended up with 3 contracts.

There are worse options out there.

Wondering if Joe Mixons boot from Combine really hurt him that much. He may drop a extra round, but those teams who was thinking about drafting him, would talk and see him private anyway. Infact I think this is positive for him. Mixon wont have answer 200 mad journalists from a podium.

This is why no combine invite: Players with domestic violence convictions barred from combine

I'll try to refrain from too much commentary, but it bothers me that what these guys did -- as much as I disapprove of their actions -- is equated with domestic violence. An act of negligence or anger is not the same thing as ongoing emotional or physical abuse, and to put these two young men and their bad choices (which, again, I definitely don't condone) on the same level of DV doesn't sit well with me. It seems like it weakens the NFL's stance, by broadening the definition too far. Yet plenty of players with drug, gun, theft and other problems were still invited. It's just another example of how inconsistent the NFL has proven itself.

There are so many great receivers this year. Go get a guy without any concerns. I'd be pretty happy with Jones, Switzer, Kupp, Godwin, etc.

One guy I am really warming up to is ardarius Stewart from Bama. Really good speed, fights for yardage, and can be used in a lot of different ways, similarly to how we use Edelman.

It's strange for a guy who lead the best team in the country in yardage to be so overshadowed, but he's really under the radar for such a talent. We hear a ton about how Howard got penalized by QB play and game planning, but you can make a similar case for Stewart.

He will probably be closer to a 3rd round pick, but that could be great value for his talent level and preparation.

I like Harris a lot. The speed is intoxicating but he also pops in the running game.
Walker of fsu is another guy I like a lot.
But these guys could be there at #32.

I'll probably use a lot of these in my edge series. Saves me some time cutting gifs. Harris is an appealing talent. Really smooth, natural mover. I like his style. Surprised he doesn't get more hype. This class is incredibly deep.

I've not studied him but from what I've read and those gifs, he strikes me as a bit too much of a one gapper for the Pats.

I don't like Walker. He's a snap guesser/jumper and that doesn't work in the pros w/ any consistency. He's not talented enough to play end or inside imho.

Maybe some decent depth but I wouldn't touch him before 3rd.

Harris has his flaws no doubt but his get off is up there w/ Takks and he probably has the best counter with his spin in the class.

Reams take anything you want thats what we're here for. I'll probably start my thread in a day or 2 and welcome to steal, copy, borrow anything. Idc. Goes for anyone.

I do like John Johnson's fit for the Pats. Saw an interview and he sounds just like a Patriots secondary guy ( a small thing I know but Patriots DBs do have an ability to articulate well in interviews which speaks to intelligence) and this perked up my interest:

Special teams monster with 30 tackles over the last three seasons on cover teams.

2017 NFL Draft Profile: John Johnson

An ideal guy to take Harmon's spot.

Johnson has that "look" for sure. Looks versatile and like he come down n play some cb at next level. Def has that background.

#OleMiss TE Evan Engram led all #FBS TEs with a 2.61 yards per route run average when lined up in the slot. #SeniorBowl
