At this point, you need an experienced guy who isn't going to cough up a ball or make a mental error on every return, especially in the playoffs.

Hester is one of the best return men in the history of the league. Yeah, he let a ball bounce and didn't get many yards this past Monday, but let me ask you, who do you want returning punts and kickoffs?

Hester or Jones?

I'll take Hester all day. Cut Whalen for him, just as long as he isn't cooked.

Hester is one of the best return men in the history of the league. Yeah, he let a ball bounce and didn't get many yards this past Monday, but let me ask you, who do you want returning punts and kickoffs?

Unfortunately, it wasn't jut Monday's performance that got Hester cut. He has fumbled on FIVE returns this year, and reportedly had started letting a lot of punts go rather than risking the catch. It sounds like his outstanding career is probably over.
