Offering Revis 14.1 with a 1 million dollar bonus if we win the Super Bowl might be an appealing deal.

@CharlesRobinson: League source: #Patriots will be in the wide receiver market later in the week. Mid-level guys. Not Maclin or Torrey Smith.

Just about the least surprising news ever. Hopefully this means that they are sure their money will be tied up elsewhere...

I thought Torrey Smith was a mid level guy, If he's considered a top guy, I wonder who the mid level guys are lol
I've been chest thumping this for a while but Cecil Shorts strikes me as a perfect compliment to LaFell and Edelman. Nice hands and a good route runner. He would be a great value addition.

@tomecurran: After 30 hours of tampering, it seems a very good bet Pats will retain either Revis or McCourty and a pretty good bet they keep both.

Suh in Miami is going to be an adventure. NE had a hard enough time keeping Wake off of Brady !

Odd, last time Wake was invisible the entire game

@MattLombardo975: Sense I'm getting is #Eagles making significant push for McCourty. #Colts and #Giants also involved, but Philly could be front runner.

I think it's been fairly obvious that WR would once again be targeted, with the "up in the air" statuses of guys like Dobson, Amendola, Tyms, etc.

Many disagreed, but I'm not really sure why. It's great having LaFell and Edelman, but in today's high passing NFL you need to have an effective WR3 (even if that doesn't occur until the postseason comes around ) and add to your depth/competition.

It's just too important of a position with Tom Brady back there, and that's not even bringing up how screwed we would've been had one of LaFell/Edelman become injured for 4-6 games.

You do have to look at who's left on the market though. Honestly Maclin is the only receiver better than Smith that's left at this point. (As sad as that may be.)

Absolutely, I've said the same. I think he would be a great addition to the group.

What the hell IS that thing?! It looks like a melting wax dummy.
Hah -- yeah. Kinda scary. Her bio on Twitter says she's an ESPN reporter; I don't watch that network so I ahd to take her word for it.

Reminds me a bit of ...
