2015 already looking to be a mess for the Bills- Marrone opts out

This is just unbelievably stupid on so many levels. First off I live in Toronto and listen to Buffalo sports radio a lot during the football season. And I watch a lot of Bills games because they are always on TV here.

Marrone is a poor coach who has wildly overvalued himself. I think that the real reason why he opted will come out in the next couple of weeks. Either his agent Sexton used the opt out to renegotiate Marrone's deal feeling he had the Bills over a barrel, and the Bills said no and he got his nose bent out of shape. Or he heard from reliable sources that he was very close to being fired before the end of the season and he got his nose bet out of shape. To me this whole move stinks of ego and nothing more.

I was hoping like hell that the Bills would not fire him as he is so mediocre and makes so many in game mistakes. He's a terrible with time management and is a complete zero when it comes to any kind of innovation. He's the ultimate "play it safe and play not to lose" NFL coach. I wanted him in Buffalo for as long as they'd have him.
Now to hear that he's opted out is unbelievable. What a joke. And to hear that the Jest are interested in him, well Lord, please make it so!!!! I genuinely just cannot believe that this guy will get another HC job in the NFL. But if its to the Jets, we as Pats fans are truly blessed.

Marrone is getting $4 million from the Bills, free and clear. There's no offset language in the buyout. Far from wildly overvaluing himself, he's parlayed an ownership change into a winning lottery ticket.

I remember the first game of the last season in one of those Ridley fumbles, the refs actually called down by contact, then he challenged the fumble, but anyway the ball was recovery by the Pats. I was watching the game in a new sports channel in brazil at the time that bought the rights to broadcast NFL there, and the guys in the broadcasting were obviously totally inexperienced, you could see that, and even they asked "why is he challenging a fumble/down by contact that was recovered by the Pats" ? And he was looking like a badass jn the sideline, like, Im the sheriff, I call the shots here.

I hope he goes to the Jets as well.

On the other hand, Rexy going to Bufallo would be an interesting move from an outside standpoint, as long as their QB situation is totally delegated to another person and he takes care only of the defense and call the decisions on challenges, 4th downs, etc...they have a much better roster right now than a lot of teams. Great defense (he can address the backfield) , some weapons on offense, Running backs...Needs a QB, with that defense they need a game manager QB.

1st winning season since 2004 and a top 5 defense and they clean house.

Another organization that just can't out of it's own way.

Would not surprise me if BUF was one of those franchises that moved to LA.

This post couldn't be more wrong on all counts.

1. Their front office is horrible. They need to clean house ASAP.

2. Marrone is so overrated, he is a crazy egomaniac who was rightly criticized for not going for it on 4th down on the other team's 40 late in multiple games. Schwartz ran the defense. Mrrone goes around the media calling himself "Saint Doug" for working miracles with the Bills and Syracuse Orangemen.

3. The Bills were bought by the Pegulas, who are liquid billionaires, and they have a huge stake in the city of Buffalo.

I'll take you word for it, Upstater....sorta got that impression when he played his entire starting units on offense and defense right to the end to make sure his team finally won a game in Foxboro. A meaningless game to everyone involved. He'd be a perfect Jet HC

And now Polian has turned down the Bills President job..

I really don't see what was factually wrong with my post.

I'm well aware of Terry Pegula and his commitment to the Lake Erie region.

Let me know when the stadium deal is approved approved. Everything hinges on that.

Yep.

..and there is always the guy in Caddyshack.

Apparently Chargers OC Frank Reich is the favourite for the Bills job; Played for the Bills from 85 to 94.

I think Reich was the guy that QB'ed the Bills to that monster playoff comeback against the Oilers... I'm sure it wasn't Kelly

it was Reich who came back against the Oilers. Kelly was hurt
