@danmateus @CSNNE @pfwpaul @985TheSportsHub I literally haven't heard a single person predict that or even insinuate it could happen.

@Badseedz187 yeah, unfortunately haven't gotten as much opportunity to look deep at them. Maybe next week :)

@Nikhil_Laksh they don't just allow them to red zone, competitive to that point. It's just they don't over-commit in getting to that point

Wow. They already remodeled the White House. https://t.co/oVJpat7bDv

From old #Steelers study notes, pre-snap movement w/ Antonio Brown used to be a BIG thing in red zone. Curious if they use more vs #Steelers

On this note, both KC & Pitt (facing Hill) seemed content to directionally kick OB or shorter hang-time, fair catch… https://t.co/NqL4Oxx29m

@aburt63 potential there, sure. But struggles on the road stretch throughout season. They've struggled coming up w/ consistent answers

@aburt63 no red zone TDs though. Having a real hard time seeing past last week. Good in field, less so when it counts.

@BostonPatriot86 TV picks have no consequence, it's just low-study theater. Sometimes they're just fading their counterparts to win on picks

@Nikhil_Laksh exactly. Better philosophy take w/ Patriots offense, why the do it. With = amount of possessions, they almost always score more

@Nikhil_Laksh obviously neither is good, but they roll w/ lesser or two evils, typically. KC thinking similar...my old coach, Bob Sutton

@Nikhil_Laksh naw, philosophy is more field yards are OK if ya tighten on high-red in. Overplay low & give up big pass play, don't want that

Wow. San Antonio should be embarrassed. In the NFL, that's the equivalent of losing a 10 point lead in the last two minutes, while having the possession of the football. Honestly I don't even care who wins tomorrow night since I think I hate San Antonio almost as much as Miami at this point.

My voice is gone today. Awesome, awesome game to watch as a fan of either team (though Joey Crawford did his damndest to try to ruin it with blown calls both ways, then the no call on Danny Green followed by the no call on Ray Allen at the end). San Antonio did choke, though.

San Antonio missed a few opportunities to close that game out during the end of regulation. Perhaps the biggest mistake was Popovich making the poorest coaching decision of the playoffs by sitting Duncan where Miami hit two second chance threes. That damned Ray Allen!

If the reports of Rivers only wanting to coach a championship contender are true, that's very disappointing.

I guess the trade talks are back on. chris paul has been putting pressure on the clippers to get a deal done. my head says get something in return for rivers. my heart says f you doc go do tv for three years if you don't want to coach the celtics. when things get tough doc quits. pathetic.

I wonder if Spoelstra will send Manu Ginobili a thank you card for his back to back efforts for the Heat in games 6 and 7?

Congrats Kontra. LeBron was magnificent again.

I don't think that anybody can say that LeBron isn't clutch anymore. That shot was as clutch as it gets. Thank you sir for your congrats. I feel bad for Ginobili and the Spurs. What a class organization. It was a PLEASURE to watch my team to compete against them.

All I have to say is, Lebron can win as many championships as he wants with the Heat, and he'll still never be on Jordan's level. For one thing, Jordan never lost a finals and never even had to go to a Game 7 in the finals. Also, he didn't have a top 5 player as his wingman, and please don't compare Wade and Pippen, Wade is much better even in his "declining" years and I'm old enough to remember both.

Lebron also won nothing before Miami and most objective people will remember that.

The funny thing is, I remember back in 07, the Cavs beat the Celtics in the regular season and I remember Lebron saying "I don't need any catch phrase like the big 3" and now look at him lol.

Unfortunately for those outside of South Beach and bandwagon Heat fans, the rest of the league better get used to seeing them in the finals for at least the next few years as no team in the east can compete with the Miami All-Stars, I mean the Miami Heat.

As for the Spurs, why play Green in Game 7 when he's clearly anxious and choking under the pressure? Why not go with Neal or Diaw? Also it's like they were throwing the game away with those Ginobili plays.

Oh well, they aren't my team but I feel bad for San Antonio fans.

Well apparently the punk ass Rondo dropped an F-Bomb in the direction of Doc Rivers at some point last year causing the two to almost get into a fist fight.

  12. BradyManny

The "never lost a Finals" argument is as silly as the "never lost a Super Bowl" argument in football. Getting to the final championship round is a huge accomplishment, and losing said final round against the best competition in the league is rarely an indictment against an individual player in a team-sport. Finals appearances are achievements regardless of the outcome.

You have to give Lebron his props now. Do I ever think he'll be considered as good as Jordan? No, I sure hope not, not for a lot of reasons, the first of which is simply as a function of the two eras. The NBA right now is at its lowest point since before Bird/Magic rescued the league (Thanks David Stern!).

But on the court, Lebron single-handedly saved the Heat in Game 6 and won them a championship. He's won two, he'll probably win a couple more, he'll go down as one of the game's greats. Deal with it. Who cares? At this point, I can't argue it's bad for the game of basketball. Would you rather have the flopping Spurs win yet another unremarkable title the other night? I can't stand Wade, and think he's turned into an insufferable punk, but Lebron has elevated his game, and is now a legitimate well-rounded player, not just some A-Hole who plows through people to get to the hoop. Let him win whatever he wants, he's finally earned it.

Ray Allen says hi. Lebron made a lot of big shots in Game 7, but without Ray Allen's 3 pointer in Game 6, the Heat don't get to that point. He misses that shot, season over. I think even Lebron would admit as much.

Most people won't deny how talented he is, it's the treatment he gets and begs for and the douchebaggery that people don't care for - see the Decision and the "not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7" and his mannerisms on the court. He's already gifted enough as it is and the best player on the court any given night, he doesn't need to go 15 games without being called for a foul and doesn't need to whine to the refs the rare occasions something isn't called his way.

People criticize Peyton Manning for far less on here.

Ray Allen wouldn't have been in that position if LeBron hadn't sank a 3 right before that. Nevertheless, the would have, could have can now be ignored. Ray sank the 3, the Spurs had a chance to win in OT and didn't, then they had a chance to win in Game 7 and didn't. The Heat were the better team, they're back to back defending champions... cry about it.

Tell me, how much of the series did you actually watch? Tim Duncan got much more preferential treatment from the refs than anybody on the Heat. We couldn't so much as breathe on him in the paint. There were at least six phantom fouls that I counted (mostly on Bosh) in which the defender either swiped at air or touched the ball and was still called for the foul. It's the star treatment. LeBron gets it, Duncan gets it, Durant gets it, Kobe gets it, Carmelo gets it, and Jordan started it. Yet I didn't see you whining about it when Duncan was on the receiving end.

    In the end though...

I share a lot of your disdain for Lebron James. But he has answered a lot of my questions about his game and his abilities, and ultimately, that's how I have to judge the guy. The one caveat I have is that he still gets away with a lot of crap I would deem offensive fouls, but that's not going to change, so I don't even worry about it anymore.

Ray Allen might've hit that 3 to tie it up in Game 6, but going into that fourth quarter, it felt like the Miami Heat team was ready to call it a season and head to the beach like half the stadium did. But James basically dragged that team back into the game, and saved their season, and the championship.

Like I said, I'm not denying his talent or saying he isn't "clutch." I don't think anyone can say he isn't clutch after that shot he made in Game 7 to ice the game. And he's been one of the 2 best players in the game for the last several years. He just rubs me the wrong way and while I respect him as a talented player, he's a bigtime douchebag. I think of him the same way I thought of A-Rod in his prime.

None taken. I try not to start conversations about the Heat here anymore but if they're brought up, I usually respond.
