Again, what the heck. It's early, but that's fanhood for ya.

Shoate, Welbourn and Hobson*

Probably not a shocking list of guesses. I can't read Adams yet, but I have a "feeling" he's a better grab than the others.

I wouldn't bet on Hobson getting cut until he shows in two more preseason games that he cannot adapt to the Pats defense. I don't know if Belichick is thrilled with going into the season with a lot of inexperience at LB. A couple of injuries and he could be facing two rookies and a second year player starting. That may not be a scenario that Belichick is relishing.

Besides, even if all three of those vets get cut, none are busts. None were signed with more than a modest contract.

True. I guess I was thinking more of bust in the sense of getting on the field and screwing us over by sucking, hehe.

I expect very little from Shoate at CB...or Welbourn on the line...maybe more from the latter..but neither was brought in to be a part of the core of the team...so expectations are low.. Hobson though..is another story..I woudn't say bust at this point or even if he ultimately doesn't make it...just not for this system. It takes time..and they know it and will see/judge progress. but only he could really be a bust..and at this point far too early to say.
