Actually, I don't see a problem with you making Pitt's pick as long as you stick to his request. I believe that he asked for someone to draft him a linebacker. I presume you are aware of the linebacker position.

Chunky Pony shut me up by stealing Grubbs the BEST guard in the draft. good job

hahaha.

I recognized the need after my first pick, and I thought that Grubbs would definetly fall to me.

Linebacker? Are you speaking English again? He did mention he'd be happiest if the consensus landed him an LB, which we all know is the abbreviation for "pound." You must not reach for his pound, which makes sense, a pound of feathers would be stacked higher on the shelves then a pound of gold, fizzicks 101.

Got the Cardinals a tackle at #38. Drafting for need, there, but Ugoh was also good value. DE wasn't really a big need, but Gaines Adams was by far the BPA so I'm happy with it, and he'll be better than Chike Okeafor.

Compensating from the loss of Kearney, I selecting the best available pass rusher (IMO) in Anthony Spencer. With the additions of Okoye & Spenser the Dirty Birty D now has a whole new look! Sorry DH44.

Great choices in the second round, fellas. I like all of them.

Oh dear. Have your meds kicked in again?

I only see one pick taken in the 2nd round? Oh I see... someone is not updating the first draftboard post at the top. Gimme a few minutes for me to consult my draft board.

I just want to ask people to please pay attention to the last page of the mock draft, since we arent able to keep the front page updated, right now. Just to be safe I've been sending PM's to people on the clock early.

Patchick is on vacation for a few days.

Regular posters can't edit a post after a day passes.

It was between Sidney Rice and Jason Hill. The Dolphins need help at wide receiver. Chambers is too inconsistent to be counted upon. I ended up going with Rice because he has possibly the best hands in this draft. Rice makes the over the shoulder catches look easy. He also has excellent size and is explosive. Rice will make a great target in the redzone.

I decided not to go with Hill because he had a down Senior Year which is a red flag to me and he doesn't seem to have the physicality that Rice possesses. When I look at his 40 times I have to ask myself if he is the real deal or is he just Bethel Johnson II?

With Rice, I just can't pass up a chance to draft a TO/Randy Moss type specimen. I really think that Sidney Rice would be considered a 1st round talent in most other drafts. Even if he only turns out to have a Keyshawn Johnson type career that is pretty good and the Fins need playmakers on that offense.

Here's another look at Sidney Rice:

Midget DBs beware! If someone can find the name of the guy Rice clowns in this pic, you get extra brownie points.

They also call him Skywalker...

Here's one of the many youtube footages you can find of him. He has a knack for making spectacular/difficult catches:

And the run on WRs continues.

I went with Steve Smith because he has played in many big games and has produced at a high level and will be a productive player especially for a young Quarterback and he will get open and make the tough catches especially across the middle.

I figured you for Craig Davis (though I should have known you would go w/ a player named "Gonzo"). Nice pick.

Man, they seem to drop like flies when you are waiting...

Anthony Madison? He was a UDRFA for the Steelers last season. He was starting CB, wearing the #9, for the Crimson Tide in 2005.

I think we have a winner! Major brownie points!! Kudos on the research.
Anthony Madison fits the profile, wore #9 and started for Alabama in 2005, also he's a short guy at 5'9" and you can really see the difference in size as Rice posterizes the guy.
From what I gather in 2005, Rice won freshman of the year en route to an 1,100 yard 13 TD season. He had 74 receiving yards and one score against Alabama that year.

I think Rice hurt his draft stock a lot by not working out at the combine. I think he got bad advice from his agent. If he had done the workouts and impressed I think he could have cemented a spot in the 1st round. The thing about this kid is that he is still so young, Rice just turned 20, so he has a lot of upside in him still. Of course to become the best you've got to have the desire. As to that we can only wait and see if he maximizes his talent and really hones his craft.

Considering the amount of WR picked, I'm getting curious as to how the RB and QB choices will shake out. It seems that to get quality at either position would mean the need to select earlier than expected...

nevermind
