after round one :eat3:

after round three :eat2:

:rocker:

Good pick with Jon Beason I think he will fit in well with the Cover 2 defense
And for the Chicago Bears pick I think you will get one of my favorite draft quotes "Who the heck is Mel Kiper Jr. anyway" But I do believe Ben Patrick was on quite a few teams radar and go get your player when you think its best for your team.

Well, there's the 1st round. I'd like to express my appreciation to everyone for their effort. We're well ahead of schedule which I though may be a problem.

I was curious as to how it would go, and now we know. It seems as reasonable to me as if it were printed in a paper.

I think so too. And while a lot of the mocks tend to be more general consensus thinking, we've had some surprises which is how it always turns out on draft day.

A special thanks to Sebman et al for taking on the responsibilities of updating and moderating.

Cheers, all. Here's to the next rounds!

Yeah, sebman is doing a damn good job running this thing. I hope he's around this time next year!

I like the pick of a TE (could have gone other directions) but why Ben Patrick and not Zach Miller? Not critiquing, just asking.

I picked Patrick because I feel like he is more the physical freak of the two. He has the ability to be a Vernon Davis, where I think Miller is the better overall tight end, Patrick has big play ability.

Sorry for the delay with the Raiders pick.

Its up.

Sorry to be a little late to the party. I haven't looked at the draft for a while.

Just want to add my two cents.

I just CANNOT fathom Houston and Griffin being available, and the Pats not taking them.

The Lynch pick is not too bad, but our secondary needs some depth for the future.

McCauley should have a warning label slapped on his forehead. The guy was benched his senior year. That scares me and I don't think the Pats would invest in a guy like that in the first round.

Patchick wont be able to update the first page of the draft anymore because shes going away for a few days. Is there anyway another mod can do this? or make someone a temp mod like myself or sebman?

I've been having her help me while I wait to hear back from Ian. I sent him a message asking those questions (and others), but he still has yet responded.

Dear Friends, in the second round please have the moderaor assign the consensus best player available to the pittsburg steelers. I must be away till monday morning. I would be happiest with a LB. Unhappiest if we reach for a LB. Thank You. I'll be back monday morning but did not want to selfishly delay the game.

If you just need a substitute draft manager I should be able to backstop one round for Pittsburgh.

Just like to announce an addition to the 2007 Mock Broncos Management Team. AYJackson Jr. (actually named Erik) was born to Mommy Susan, Daddy Andrew and Big Sister Alaina on April 12, 2007 at 8:21am via the C-section.

Erik posesses good footspeed and use of the hands for a Tackle, but at 9 lbs, 7 oz, some Scouts see him moving inside and being an affective Mauler at the Gaurd position as he transitions to the NFL.

The addition of this Lineman to the family will not affect the Broncos' draft strategy in the upcoming rounds.

Congrats! Here's to his continued health :eat3:

Good maulers are always in demand! :rocker:

Nice. Congrats.

He asked for the consensus best player though, not the opinion of one particular manager.

Congrats to Ayjackson. Are you sure your boy wouldn't rather be a pretty boy wide receiver or runningback? Or maybe an understudy to Jay Cutler, I'm sure Jay is looking over his shoulder already!

I beg your pardon, please forgive my impertinance in offering my services.

Box, I don't think he meant to come off the way you may be taking it, so I while I enjoy the clever way that you rescind the offer, I hope you don't feel put-off. I second your nomination. If the service is ultimately needed.

I think Box has shown to be diligent and knowledgable in his draft stuff. I believe he could be used to fill in for any future absence, not just this one. He should be impartial, as he doesn't (?) presently choose for any team, so he couldn't affect anybody else's choice to serve himself, etc...

I second his nomination "at my own risk" as I actually believe if he were to do so, that picks I'm targeting may not available...He seems to like 75% of the same players I do.

AY: That's so cool, man. Congrats, good luck, and have fun!

But my main point: I'm guessing he may be back in time (from what he wrote ~ 2-3 days?) to pick anyway. Pitt's next pick is still a few off...

Z, Thank you for your mediation, I do hope you are right and I am misreading VJC's post, I will be happy to apologize for my misunderstanding and testy response. Since jct is away and unable to accept my offer, it is best seb follow his stated wishes. R/Box
