packers choose, 1st round talent michael bush ^^....the next lendale white...lol

was bush or buster davis.....

the bigger void in RB lead me to take bush

bush reminds me of ahman green....too much finesse for his size

i said the crowds boo's b/c bush hasnt done a lot of working out....so its a "take a chance" pick....

already pmed the jag's

I don't even like the jags why am I so mad at missing on Meriweather? Filled biggest need at S via deon grant void. bpa at that position. pmed bengals

Bush is a great pick for Green Bay here.

Bush reminds me of the gamble that Buffalo took on Willis McGahee. If it pays off, they could well have a superstar on their hands. Have any of you guys seen him play?

Yea, he was sick until he broke his leg.

I don't think he'll go in the 2nd round since he had a second surgery on his leg.

LOL, you get into it when you're a GM. It lets you think to yourself, well I'm smarter than this team, and this is how they should pick so you end up wanting to get the best players you can for that team.

The surgery was too remove the plate.

Does that even count???

whatd u guys think of me (bengals) takin our second 3-4 type defensive player
personally i think both are versatile enough to succeed in whatever defense they are put in
and you cant say that the bengal front seven wouldnt become better over night with those two players

Merriweather I could deal with. I expected him to be gone, but held out hope. But both Weddle and now Woodley?!? I demand the right for the Saints to obtain exclusive trading rights!

Still curious about the RBs and QBs. Bush pick was solid. He's a top 15 with no injury and you can't fault a guy for breaking his leg. Imagining the injury bug trails him by trying to secure an NFL future, he can now rehab properly and get NFL calibre training.

After him, as far as the rest of the RB/QB choices go, only a handful of "guaranteed" sold pros exist.

So, now that we're well into the second...

Who amongst those already chosen gives you the most remorse by not choosing? Maybe it was a pick thought to be a reach but really wanted, or was a pick that you truly expected to be their at you second pick but wasn't.

I gave serious consideration to picking Weddle at #27 instead of Houston. I thought it was a possibility he would be there for my second pick. I was very wrong. If there had been trades, I had a scheme to trade the #27 into #32-36, with which I would have chosen him.

Was that all the second sugery was about? I thought I heard something about his leg needing a second corrective surgery, and things might not have been progressing as smoothly as people thought. Maybe that was just a speculation.

I think the Titans have made their selection as Josh Wilson-CB...?

Should we accept his post as a good faith selection, particularly since he tipped his hand and covered enough choices to fulfill his pick, or should we wait?

I've read reports that tend to support what you're thinking. It wasn't a surgery for the removal of plates/pins/etc. but to add some new ones.

Explanation for the Giants second round pick at #51:

My first choice was CB Josh Wilson. Thank you Patskers at #50.

For reasons I can't reveal due to my lofty status as acting GM, and the sworn oath of secresy initiated upon my hire, I decided not to take another CB after Wilson. So instead, we've staying true to the value theme and selecting a perceived lesser need at the WR position.

In case anyone's read the following:

Reports from the West Coast claim the Giants have interviewed Washington State wide receiver Jason Hill "several times" and have told him that if things break right, he will be their second-round pick.
That report was hogwash. As the old saying goes when teams appear to be hinting about who they are interested in. 'If you aint lyin', you aint tryin'.

So WR Craig Davis is the pick. The thought here is, we'd like him to continue developing his timing with QB Manning, as he did last summer running routes and catching passes from Eli at the annual Manning Passing Academy in Thibodaux, Louisiana. :rocker:

I looked this guy up and down and I could not pass up the chance to get him at this point in the draft a tough linebacker with big game experience and we welcome him to St. Louis Rams organization.

I love the pace we have going. Hopefully we can bang out the third round by Thursday, since I'll be out of town this weeked. Who's with me! Hoooohhhhhhhhhhhh!

Yup, and I'll be gone for part of thursday, as well.

I'm all for that -- any slowpokes on board? :horn:

Seahawks GM is patiently waiting his turn to make his 1st selection :singing:
