I think it only counts regular season games... so I could give two shlitzes whether he catches Paul Brown, as long as we win when it counts...

Now passing Shula, that's another story. That keeps BB at the helm in NE for years. BB went 11-5 with Matt Cassel at QB. The BB window, that's your window.

My point was that would make the 2014 Pats 14-2.

Why is it that I can remember seeing all of these guys (except #4) coaching??! And why should Paul Brown have his AAFC record included? It (with the exception of the Browns) was truly a minor league. What would really be meaningful to me is to see this same type of listing since the beginning of the 32 team league. Is that even possible.
The AAFC merged with the NFL and there results became Part of NFL lore... when it wants them.
(Sorta like how All AFL records count, but strangely the top scorer in AFL history is not in Canton, but Mr. Cappeletti, I digress.)

A travesty of course...definitely a HOF'er in ANY league....

From the Famous HC of the NYJ napkin, through PT's brokering the deal between Kraft and BP, to the incredible SB victory moment over the Rams in year 2 tenure, the best move Kraft ever made was riding it out to get his man, BB. Despite the human nature to become complacent, us NEP fans have experienced the rarest of rare thing in the modern NFL, right in the mix to win the SB year in and year for a very long span.
Here's to the best modern day coach in the business (and possibly of all time), BB. 14 victories away from another all time great (and quite possibly the greatest), Paul Brown. Let's hope it's accomplished this season!

Belichick, if asked, will tell you that Paul Brown was the Greatest Coach of all time.
