Last Patriots team to get to the SB from Wildcard Weekend

Which team do you think is better by position ?

Here are a few by me. Wont judge the D because I liked them both, but you can.

Coach = 2019
QB=2019
RB= 1985
WR=1985
TE =1985
OL= ?

There is no 85 Bears so it doesn't really mater

I wonder how prime Brady would have fared against the '85 Bears.

If the Pat's can score 28 a game then they win the superbowl.

They cant though so who knows.

Who are his line and receivers?

If it's the 2014 offense I like their chances.

If it's 2007 before Sammy Morris went down I like it.

No correlation.

Wasn't close to being alive back then. Obviously HC goes to the 2019 squad. Brady is the GOAT. But how much better is this version of Brady than whoever the QB was then?

The big thing is there's no 85 Bears type team that will end up in the SB. But it doesn't matter because the 2019 offense can't score enough to win it all.

mmm...i admit 1985 Bears was a GREAT GREAT team
1085 Pats were cimply fantastic to arrive there

Brady ?...i have not a reply but it would have been difficult also for him i guess

No love for this guy??

The 2004 Patriots defense was the equal of the 85 Bears.

The 2011 Patriots with Mankins, Solder, Light, Connolly, Waters and Gronk would have been able to handle the Bears front seven if all were healthy.

You have had some interesting takes lately.

He had a couple of very good years for sure...a lot of talent no doubt...he would hv been awesome if he had Grogan toughness...both were so good in that incredible run to the Super Bowl

Never understood how anyone can compare a team from 34 years ago to a team of today, the game is completely different as are the roles of players..

QB Tony Eason, (168 for 299, 2,156 yards, 11 td, 17 int, & 22 rushes for 70 yards and 1 td)... With Eason's passer rating of 68 there were a lot of complimentary players who helped get the Pats to the SB...

They were an excellent rushing team for a reason.. Eason started the season at QB then he was benched in favor of Grogan, who went down in game 12 with a broken leg.. then came Eason again.

Eason started the SB, but after going 0 for 6, Grogan replaced him and went 17 for 30, 1 TD and 2 int.. Grogan was a really tough guy... but the Pats were simply outclassed & outplayed by the Bears that year..

With that O-Line this version of Brady would once again look like the Brady of a few years ago.
Champagne Tony had no heart, Tom has more fire in his fingernail clippings than Eason had in his whole body.
