Bouttle not only led the team in contested catch rate last season, he actually led the entire NFL. Simply put, Boutte never drops the ball. Boutte is going to surpass 1000 yards and 10 TD's and will likely out produce AJ Brown over the remainder of Brown's tenure here. That decision wiped out any chance of us returning to the mountain top this season and probably the forseeable future.

Drake lacks situational awareness. Stepping out of bounds for negative yardage instead of throwing the ball away and pressing when it's unnecessary. At least he wasn't trying to throw the ball while he was being wrapped up for a sack like last season.

Hopefully he improves and that's not who he is and will be as the Patriots QB. It was awful tonight. The Patriots are frauds until proven otherwise...the jury is still out. What an embarrassing loss.

You're overreacting. No one on the Pats 1st team played any preseason games. And they lost a pretty good player in AJ Brown. It's hard for even an in-form offense to recover from the loss of a superstar like that. And despite that, they still came pretty close to overtime or winning.

That said, I think it'll be a tougher season. Tougher schedule, much more motivated teams, higher expectations. They had a much easier schedule last season, and it's not like they were blowing opponents out left and right.

You should’ve stopped after your first paragraph. Drake throwing off target and into double and triple coverage wasn’t because of Boutte or Doubs, it was all on him.

I don't get the sense Maye is looking to play hero ball, he short circuits and does dumb **** and his first reaction is to throw a blind ball into no man's land.

The play that swung the entire outcome of the game was the first pick. That was 2nd and 9 at the Seattle 45 up 10-3 at the beginning of the 4th quarter. You are a first down from going up 13-3 and surgically managing a victory against Drew Lock. There was zero effen reason to throw the ball downfield there, you should have been playing for the 1st/FG no questions asked. That isn't a situation where you take a risk, after you've been conservative all game. I honestly don't even understand how that play was in the cards there - on a FBIQ spectrum of 1-100, that decision was a 1 when you factor in situation.

Who was the return for Boutte? Something Reed? Did he play a defensive snap?

Kayshon “JAG” Boutte (according to some on the trade thread) would’ve made that critical fourth quarter catch. I was also assured that Kyle Williams was ready to step up in Boutte’s role. If he was open tonight Maye didn’t give him a second look.

Green Bay moved on from Romeo Doubs and Extended other Young WR's. What does that tell you?? We didn't get any treat. I didn't like the signing initially: for a guy who never had 800yds in a single season. Our Evaluation of WR's continues to be abysmal: misery loves company.
