PATRIOTS TRAINING CAMP 2026 Patriots Training Camp - Day 17

A good QB can cure a lot of ills. A mediocre OL can look great because the QB gets rid of the ball.

The 49ers have had everything, but a QB.

The Cowboys have had OL, Defense and everything, but they lack a QB.

Bad QBs for 50 years.

So, you will be wagering thousands this season on a NE Super Bowl.

Does Vegas make you leave their casinos like in the movies? Ive heard about guys like you.

Without a good QB youre not even in the Super Bowl discussion.
49’ers could have used a better coach.

These are exaggerations Brady honks used to tell themselves and others. When in reality Tom didn’t look great with mediocrity in front of him, the same way Patrick Mahomes doesn’t either. Tom had Scar and usually had a pretty good blocking the majority of his career.
The 49ers have had everything, but a QB.
Huh? The 49ers haven’t had a complete team and more often than not because they have injury problems.
The Cowboys have had OL, Defense and everything, but they lack a QB.
None of this is true. Dallas ranked 32nd in defense last year in points allowed, 29th the year prior, they can’t “have a defense” and be league worst.

Dak’s not bad, but the Cowboys have never had a complete team and also have a culture problem that starts with their owner.
Bad QBs for 50 years.
Chad Pennington was one of the best QB’s in the league before his shoulder injury on his throwing arm, it went downhill after that.

Sam Darnold just won a Super Bowl, I predict before this season is done Zach Wilson will likely take the Saints starting QB position. Geno Smith looked good on the Seahawks.

They haven’t had bad QB’s, they were bad at developing the young QB’s they found and putting great teams and coaching around them. TEAM.
So, you will be wagering thousands this season on a NE Super Bowl.
The Pats are near league favorites, the odds aren’t very good. I’ll pick some other dark horses to win their divisions and maybe place some prop bets.

I don’t gamble. But I do make educated investments.
Without a good QB youre not even in the Super Bowl discussion.
Same with a kicker. There’s nothing unique about it other than only one player at these positions play at a time and QB’s touch the ball a lot.

If Trent Dilfer can do it, and Joe Gibbs can win rings with three different journeyman QB’s, you obviously don’t need some superstar QB to win it all.

The 2017 Eagles were the best team in the NFL all season with Carson Wentz, then won it all with Nick Foles. Team matters far more than QB alone.

PFF but..

The so-called stat based on one reception is hilarious. But I like Dorner a LOT. He has great hands (80% catch rate in college) and excellent quickness, and watching him, he just gives “QB’s best friend” vibes.

Surprisingly they are not. Many in the media and the publications I’ve read are calling the Pats a fluke.

The heavy favorites are the Bills again for whatever reason. Other popular teams are Cincinnati, Denver, LAC, Houston and even KC bouncing back.

It’s very strange.

Seems as as camp goes on we tend to hear less and less about K. Boutte. 0 catches in that Preseason games is worth noting. I still believe that AJ, Doubs and Boutte are our 3 best WRs...

0 catches is not worth noting at all. He jogged in for one series. I was there and it looked very casua; without any intention to throw him the ball. They were working Hollins, Williams, and Chism. Brown, Doubs, Pop, and Henry didnt have a catch either.

Yeah, but what do oddsmakers think?

The Pats currently have the third best odds to win the AFC, they’re still considered very good.

Agreed, Dorner has looked good all camp, albeit with the second and third team.

He's got great agility and quicks for a 6'1" WR.

They have a lot of good/great talent at WR... too much.

Great QBs make other players better. Brady and Mahomes combined have won 10 Super Bowls and played in 5 more. That is 15 Super Bowls out of 60 or 25% of all Super Bowls. KC went 50 years without a Super Bowl visit until Mahomes.

Horse5hit. SF went to 2 Super Bowls and choked because of QB.

More BS.

2023 1st offense, 5th defense
2022 4th offense, 5th defense
2021 1st offense, 7th defense

Dak’s not bad, but the Cowboys have never had a complete team and also have a culture problem that starts with their owner.
Dak sucks. Dallas has had everything around him and he still chokes.
Chad Pennington was one of the best QB’s in the league before his shoulder injury on his throwing arm, it went downhill after that.
Best QBs in the league. Hahahahaaha Hilarious. According to the TB12 retractors Brady won because of his team.
Sam Darnold just won a Super Bowl, I predict before this season is done Zach Wilson will likely take the Saints starting QB position. Geno Smith looked good on the Seahawks.
The Seattle DL controlled the game.

Maye had been playing not so hot for a while. If Denver had Nix instead of Stidham its unlikely that NE is even in the SB. But, according to you its the team that really wins.

If the Jets have not had bad QBs then why are they constantly drafting QBs.

Something I never thought I'd read on PatsFans.Com!
Very refreshing to discuss who we should keep/trade/cut opposed to “I hope we have enough at WR.” It’s been a long time coming.

It's 2001-02 all over again. Exactly the same talk from the "experts". One year wonders, flukes, etc. Even Prisco said something like he guarantees the Pats will not be #1 in his first power rankings of the season. And that's the year the Steelers were the unanimous pick by the ESPN "experts" to beat the Pats in week 1 opening Gillette Stadium.

Great teams find great players, how come Mahomes couldn’t make last year’s iteration a Super Bowl contender? Oh yeah, because his team sucked. QB fanboys only tell us about the good times (teams) they ignore the 6 win teams.
Horse5hit. SF went to 2 Super Bowls and choked because of QB.
The 2017 49ers were 1-10 then won their final five games and doubled their PPG scoring output when JimmyG started his first five games… but yeah, they lost because of Jimmy G.

So these 49ers teams were good enough to make the Super Bowl, but solely lost it because of one player. Again, you do not fundamentally understand football.
More BS.

Yeah, some Cowboys teams have been better than others. They’ve never been the best team. I’m pretty sure Dak and his career 91.8 QB Rating in the playoffs is not the sole reason they’ve lost.
Dak sucks. Dallas has had everything around him and he still chokes.
Not his stats, just your perception of him because the Cowboys lost.

Sam Darnold just won a ring.

That blows holes in your magical QB theory.
Maye had been playing not so hot for a while. If Denver had Nix instead of Stidham its unlikely that NE is even in the SB. But, according to you its the team that really wins.
Maye played not hot the entire playoffs but won three games on the way to the Super Bowl. It proves my point entirely.
If the Jets have not had bad QBs then why are they constantly drafting QBs.
Why do Jets QB’s go to other teams and find success?

The QB fanboy is the most clueless type of fan, it’s blind hero worship… cheerleading.
