Although Hoyer could still be a stable pony without being on the roster. If he were released, I’m not sure he goes anywhere anyway.

Cant BB just hire hoyer as a sanitation engineer for his current salary and then have him empty the mtg rm garbage cans while on ‚stand by‘.

I think we want to take this into account when building the 53. A candidate for that role is essentially someone who wants to be with the Pats and will easily clear waivers. I think the likely candidates are Ferentz and Langi. Ferentz has been cut a ton of times in the past without issue, and he joined the team last year again in this exact route. Langi had little interest in FA after his performance with the Jets.

I could see the Pats cutting those two guys to hold onto a couple of others (Cajuste and Jennings, for example), and still having Ferentz a potential game day active lineman on the practice squad and Langi in a similar role as needed at LB.

Hopefully Langi worked on the fundamentals during the offseason.

Thoughts-

-I agree we go with 3 qb's, I've seen people only pick two, but we'll need the 3rd for the scout team.
-For WR- I would go with Harry instead of Wilkerson
-For Tackle, tough decision, do we take 3 or 4...I think Cajuste is on the team, the question is does Herron make it?
-I think the last spot comes down to Jennings, Ferentz or Langi. Tough choice but if Andrews if fine health wise, I would go with Jennings.

Warring got cut 3 days after being claimed off waivers. I really liked that guy coming out of college as a TE with huge upside. Too athletic not to be claimed by somebody.

It will be interesting to see if either of the 2 teams that put in a waiver claim earlier this week claims him again this time.

The Patriots might have intended to work with him for a week, cut him, and resign him to the PS. But, with two other teams putting in a claim, they just figured why waste the time and risk him getting hurt if he’s likely not going to clear waivers next week. If he clears waivers, maybe, they sign him to the PS next week.
