I think Tennessee and the Pats would be perfect jobs.

But if he thinks its now or never, I would throw up in my mouth and say the Colts would be the best of the 3 mentioned
Why would Tennessee be a perfect job?

Josh/Patricia better heed carefully though. because the way these teams work. Doesnt matter how depleted the roster is. they have 1-2 years to turn it around or they are on the street.

As much as it would pain me to see them go. We have seen over the years that Bill makes alot of these coaches and will have qualified replacements ready to go..

I'm interested in Gruden to say the least. I'm not a fan of hiring a Gruden or Van Gundy after a decade + away.

That said Oakland isn't far off. More than capable QB. Very talented, very good Oline. Some decent skill weapons you can/replace any time.

On Defense you have a top 10-20 overall player in Mack and a very promising secondary with Joseph, Obi & Conley. All young guys.

I don't think it's impossible to make a legit run with that team very soon.
I think the jury is out in Carr. As promising as he had seemed he was REALLY BAD this year.

It might be the closest he gets to returning to the Ohio area, presuming he would even want to.

Why would Tennessee be a perfect job?
QB potential, good RB's, good D, good OL, good TE . If he could unleash the O, they could be good.

Not seeing it. Qb is a huge question to me. Not impressed by d, OL or weapons all of which are average (or in case of wr bad)

He has a good relationship with the GM who was with the Pats for most of the time Josh was here. Tennessee has a talented QB, who has had sh!t for coaching, but also 3 years of NFL experience. They reportedly have a good defense as well. Sounds about as good as you can get

Indy is the worst job out there. Bad ownership is one of the biggest factors in choosing a job, and Irsay is as bad as they get. That franchise is a dumpster fire. Andrew Luck should force them to trade him.

Irsay might be a pill-abusing, coke head but he keeps his fingers mostly off the day-to-day business. And when Grigson was finally flushed down the toilet like the giant turd that he was that front office dumpster fire left with him. I think you are making Indy a worse place than it actually is..

I don’t think it’s the absolute worst job, but I think it an overrated job.

Luck is a complete mystery at this point, who even before injury never lived up to expectations of being the next elite QB. Too many turnovers, and his game involves risking his body far too often.

And why are we so certain Ballard is such a great GM? He’s obviously more competent. But is he actually good, or does he just look good compared to Grigson? Jury is still out on him.

Overall I agree. Hes hands off.

I do recall Irsay tweeting about contract agreements and injury updates every now and then.

If Bob did that here Bill would flip out.

I’m not a fan of the QB. I don’t onow what his relationship with Robinson is. There d doesn’t impress me either.
I don’t see it clearly better than any of the other jobs, meaning I think he should take any of offered and of course apply these factors to choose among offfers.

However, another prominent option has emerged from the outside. According to sources, the Ravens are speaking with Pagano about potentially returning to the organization and running the team’s defense. It's unclear how much progress they've made in the negotiations.

really? you don't say

Pagano, 57, was fired this week after a six-year run as the Indianapolis Colts’ head coach. He has maintained close ties with several Ravens officials, including head coach John Harbaugh, who hired Pagano as his secondary coach in 2008, and he’s held in extremely high regard by owner Steve Bisciotti and other team officials.

Ravens speaking to Pagano about defensive coordinator job; Martindale among other options

I think I might have been the only one here saying Oakland will regress hard in the off season but that's too harsh.

That whole team regressed all over. Theres plenty to work with there.

I'm sorry but maybe you need to take another look at that situation.

Mariota had a tough year but is easily one of the best young QBS out there.

That offense is a mess of you watch them. From the scheme to the personnel they go with (Henry needs to be the #1 RB, Top 10 RB potential)

You draft Mariota to put the ball in his hands & mind. Not to run a predictable system that does the opposite.

That job opens up an offensive coaches will sprint to Tennessee.

Yeah we have a very different opinion of Mariota.

Mariota is 24, so let's call 28 the cutoff age for "young QBs" (using only current, or obvious, but injured (or the like) starters), which let's us use Russell Wilson (29) as the start of the "older" QBs.

Winston
Luck
Tannehill
Goff
Wentz
Kizer
Bortles
Watson
Carr
Osweiler
Prescott
Bridgewater
Trubisky
Newton
JAG

Other than Kizer, Bortles and Osweiler, I'm not sure you can clearly put Mariota above any other QB on that list.

Josh and Matt are interviewing this week. When it is all done, I expect Josh to go with the Bears and Matt with the Lions. My big worry is BB's tenure with the Pats. There have been a lot of stories about tensions between BB, Brady, Brady's Guru and Kraft. My suspicion, BB did not want to trade Jimmy G and, in fact, may have been thinking of dumping TB12 after this season and elevating JG to #1. He did it before, dumping Bernie Kosar in Cleveland when Kosar still had something left in the tank. Also he dumped high priced vets in NE (Law, Wilfork, Seymour) when they still had some tread left on their tires. Kraft looks upon TB12 as his son and may have disagreed with BB if he, indeed, had plans for JG as #1. I hope I am wrong (probably am), but it would not surprise me if BB resigned after this season and maybe became an adviser like Parcells did with Miami. Imagine a Pats team without BB, Josh and Matt. I hope my doomsday scenario is just a bad dream.
