Pre AFCCG Injury Watch Thread

Alright, I'm getting confused on these other threads about who is potentially injured with what injury, so here.

Post here any further updates on Collins, Jones, Mayo, and anyone else who is dealing with an injury.

It's good that they did not suffer anything serious. With those guys playing, we should be able to limit their running game. They have no passing game, so their offense will struggle mightily without the ability to run.

With chris harris shoulder as bad as it is. If he cant tackle or press the receiver, whomever is on him is going to have a big game.

LOL the antidote to Edelman?! Chris Harris is Edelman's *****. He's not an antidote to anything.

Denver's concern is whether Harris is healthy enough to slow down the Patriots passing game, while the Patriots concern is whether the front 7 is healthy enough to slow down the Bronco's running game.

MMMD 1: Patriots continue as most injured team

Despite leading the league in injuries, New England moves on to the AFC Championship Game. The five injured offensive starters (Brady, Edelman, Gronk, Amendola and Vollmer) all played well in victory.

Now the worry is on the defensive side with Jamie Collins, Jerod Mayo and Chandler jones all exiting with injury. By video, Collins’ oblique muscle injury was confirmed and he is likely to play next week. Jerod Mayo with a shoulder injury has a chance to be active as well. Fellow LB Dont’a Hightower needed surgery, yet finished last season wearing a brace and Mayo could do the same.

Chandler Jones’ knee is the bigger worry. I saw only limited video and one angle but the fear is patella subluxation or cartilage issue. He was announced with a non-specific knee sprain and headed for MRI with hopefully good news to follow.

I think Harris plays for sure, whether he's effective or even finishes a game is very much up in the air.

To guard against the possibility that Harris will be worse instead of better, they’ve added cornerback Taurean Nixon from the practice squad. A seventh-round pick in the 2015 draft, Nixon fills the roster spot created by the placement of safety Omar Bolden on injured reserve.

The Broncos can beat the Patriots without Bolden. They may not have a chance without Harris, especially with receiver Julian Edelman, who missed the regular-season game between the two teams, now back for the Patriots.

Was just looking through JE11's stats. Did you know last year in the playoffs, he had 9 punt returns for 143 yards? Guy is a huge play maker for NE.
