Well that's just silly. Tackling gronk that way is the most effective way to tackle him and its legal.

The most effective way to tackle ANYONE is hitting them in the Hip or Thigh. But Football players in general have a laughably poor tackling technique.

Going for peoples knees is how you criople them.

I'd like to see a hurry up offense with alot of bunch formations. Denver doesn't seem to play those bunch formations well.Here's a thought. Single Gronk on one side, force Denver to commit two guys on him. Put White, Amendola and Edelman (quick guys) on the other side and see if we can force Denver into some zone. Put Bolden in the backfield to block and/or release to gronk's side to see if we can get him on a lb like we did last game (one that went for a td).

There shouldn't be much debate that Peyton Manning is still very good at certain aspects, even though he's gotten much worse at others.

His ability to read a defense and adjust accordingly is still one of the best in the league, and he can certainly hit enough shorter/intermediate routes enough to get it done, particularly when they tend to rely on their athletic WRs like Sanders and Thomas to gain YACs.

I still believe the most effective way to beat them is to limit their running game (this time around), while doubling Thomas and getting good pressure.

thats why you sell out on those routes and force manning to beat you deep. Crowd guys close to the line of scrimmage. He cant hit those deep passes....the only deep passes he has thrown in the last 2 weeks sailed over the receivers head.

Collins and Hightower will be key in this one. Denver thrives on stretch runs and Collins especially has the speed and athleticism to stop that and make them a one dimensional passing team. Funny to say, but I think the key is to take away the run and force Manning to throw. Continue to look for lots of dropped passes and what-ifs...tough to catch his knuckleball ducks.

Turnovers will be huge. Pitt had the game wrapped up until the fumble. Sound familiar? We had the game won during the regular season until the muffed punt.

Pitt scared me more, I was glad to see them fumble and lose. Turn Denver into a one-dimensional passing team and Manning can no longer beat us. Avoid turnovers. We win, but close, their defense is too good to give up a ton of points.

That's absolutely it. Hightower being back is huge, their running game was stifled in the last game even with Collins out. Stop the run, and Manning can't throw deep. If there are no more injuries and the Pats don't turn it over, they will win.

I am worried that Denver will play 8 in pass coverage and rush 3, hence daring the Pats to run. So who do we run the RB formerly known as SJACK or a dose of James White? I really wish we had Blount.

Yes. Sanders is much more of a gamer than Thomas.

Does DENVER actually want to go to the superbowl? I could see a similar beatdown if they face Panthers/Cards.

A couple of the reasons to feel pretty good here...if the Pats don't sustain more injuries (Hightower needs to stay on the field) and don't turn the ball over a bunch, they'll get their 27+ points. Does this Denver team score that much if a non-crazy game unfolds? Hard to see it.
