Excellent summary! All the more impressive given that the game only ended about 8 hours ago, you have a "real" job, a family, etc. Following a game like that it's so great to have this forum, especially for those outside NE who need to be careful with the gloating factor. So grateful for what you do Ian!!!

Great write-up Ian! Thanks for the nice read.

These two lines are the best IMO - lines to be hurled @ any fan invoking CameraGate and DeflateGate to slur us:

-----------------
This team doesn’t win because of psi or stealing signs, they win because they outwork and out-prepare their opponents. Thursday night proved that what Belichick has built here is unbreakable, no matter how hard the commissioner may try to change that.

Good article. One additional thought... defensive personnel have turned over markedly in the last couple years, and last night they played at the level they're capable of for 60 minutes... we don't know yet if this is the "real" defense for 2016 or if they can't keep the pedal down once the offense is past its ills... or, whether they will just be a one-game-on, one-game-off bunch. But if you only had this game to judge by, you'd stick them way high in the NFL pecking order.

Just as last week the game-day thread was full of "this is not a top 5 or top 10 defense" comments.

But Wilfork kept lining up on the wrong side of the field...

Thanks. Getting up for work was tough this morning, but looking forward to hopefully a relatively quiet day here. But, man...what a great game and it was definitely a lot of fun to see them go out and play well. It's pretty remarkable when you look at how they won last night, especially considering they did it with a rookie QB but you could see the guys on defense were playing with a lot of urgency and that, coupled in with Ryan's punting performance, really made things tough on the Texans. I feel bad for the fans who were hoping to see J.J. Watt last night...I guess he didn't show up, or at least if he was there Belichick made him invisible yet again
