Took til the last paragraph to answer my only question…..

“He has publicly discussed his journey as a queer dancer and his desire to become a role model for others who might not see themselves represented in professional sports entertainment.”

But I do have a follow-up: is it a prerequisite?

Agreed. TBH he’s fun to watch because he’s the one cheerleader who looks like he’s genuinely having a great time. The typical exaggerated toothy cheerleader smile makes me think of those retractors dentists use to hold your mouth open.

Edit: no slight intended on the other hard working cheerleaders. I just enjoy Jeremy’s obvious enthusiasm.

I’m a big fan of female cheerleaders. My 1st few years here I had a Patriots cheerleader AV pic. They are attractive and I like that.

This. When my daughter was in dance there was one boy on the team, I used to say to my wife that that kid was either a little light in the loafers (not that there's anything wrong with that) or the smartest straight kid ever.
