Base Case - First 2026 53-Man Roster

Different style of player than McPoo... I'm hoping he becomes a stouter, more nimble & more consistent version of Elandon Roberts.
We need a sideline-to- sideline athletic LB.. Obiazor seems to fit the bill. Cap i think the unique thing entering camp is there's no Clear cut role for some guys they all will have an opportunity to prove themselves.. Robert's was excellent downhill.. however get him in space and you may as well ask Stevie Wonder to cover..

I'm not sure that Obi has much of that style of game in him either. He has the long speed for coverage, but his agility scores speaks to his possible vulnerability to double-moves off the LOS... And while I do expect him to posses chase-down ability into the flats, I still believe that he'll earn most of his pay between the Tackles.

I thought Tonga played really well last season. better than I expected.
but when he went out with injury, and Durden got more snaps, I thought Durden was equal, maybe better.
certainly there would be room for both, but Tonga is no longer here
time for Farmer to take a season 2 leap

You make good points as usual my Dorchester brother! Marty was supposed to be the guy to be able to do this.. unfortunately he couldn't stay out the trainers room enough to be on the field to really grow his game an ability. So now we have Obiazor.. I believe with real coaching now he stands a chance to really have an impact. So camp will show us all alot.

I suppose a lot can happen in 3 years; but this still doesn't fit the profile of any current NT with whom I'm familiar, or need to be familiar...

Patriots.com lists his weight at 305. Better; but still...
Cap I believe Durden is the exact type of player that took advantage of his opportunities and did well. I believe he's only gotten better with more opportunities. I'd expect him to become one of the teams best defensive players this season and beyond.. he has the attitude, the mentality and Hunger to become a even better player in the NFL.

Unless he completely ****s the bed, I expect Obi to make the 53. I mean, Eliot the ****'s been a major grocery-shopper here the past 3 off-seasons, and supposedly one of Bill's closest advisors (The Collaboration) the 3 previous ones; yet Obi will be the only drafted or UDFA-signed LB in the building if he indeed does make the team...

Meh, he looks like just another backup-caliber 3-Tech to me.

He will make the team.. he fits a prototype of the type of LB needed especially against spread offenses.. as i said Cap training camp will be very interesting this season because there's still some undefined roles for guys who we may be surprised by.
