It’s all good. England’s right back, their weakest position, got a red card and is gone for the next game. And he was already a sub for an injured starter. And now they face Haaland.

It's a huge win for England. Mexico are a good team and were in excellent form. It is also so difficult to win in one of the host's own stadiums, against the crowd, at altitude. Then getting a red card and playing with 10 men for what turned out to be 40 minutes. Previous England teams usually wilt against that type of pressure.

I'm also still slightly in shock still that they had the confidence to just park the bus with 25 minutes still to play with injury time, even taking Kane off, basically saying we know you can't score. Seemed conplete madness to me at the time.

Just imagine if the NFL had yellow and red cards -- wouldn't that be a hoot? For the penalty the aggrieved party could get an uncontested field goal attempt from 40 yards.

But the one who drew the penalty (the penaltied?) has to make the kick. So a DL who gets held has to make the kick, not the kicker.

Saying "the last 15 years" implies that if you go back further than 15 years, the stat changes. It doesn't. Norway 1, NYJ 0 is an all time stat for MetLife Stadium.

Yes, it’s been a great WC, and attendees have only good things to say about the Hosts, the people.
