Boutte available for trade?

the Pats deal with Diggs was always structured to be 1 and most likely done.
you also have no idea if Boutte was offered an extension, and turned it down.
Good points if he was offered an extension as a guy on a 6th rounder salary and who's come from hardship growing up then it was foolish.. same for Malcom butler who turned down more money offered here just to take less with the titans...

I’d compare it to the Malcolm Butler situation, they paid Doubs the contract Boutte clearly thinks he deserves. But Doubs has been a better more productive player so he was a better option to pay. Gilmore/Butler… different but shades of similarity.

It's a certainty that our game improves with a better O-line (which we did prioritize).
It's not a certainty that a better receiver, especially a "deep threat," would do the same, when plays don't have time to develop.

The jig was up, but not on the receivers. The jig was up on the QB's required minimum time to make a play.
Guys were getting open all season long.. suddenly they couldn't in the postseason.. the offensive line gave them time sll regular season but not in the postseason season? I'll tell you what happened.. 17 weeks of game tape.. and facing elite defensive teams in the postseason will do that.. out last best man coverage beater WR we had was jules.. Jules was a dam good post season wr..

why would an offer like that make sense for the player?
make an offer predicated on his current production, and projected production.
something along the lines of what Doubs signed for made sense to me.

Doubs has not been clearly better

I agree with you. Wich if he did means he didn't get what doubs got. Signaling what the team sees his value at currently..

500 yards

Assuming health Doubs will destroy his
career bests in every category.

Doubs did have that 4th year, which Boutte does not have
Doubs was also a free agent
Boutte is currently under contract
All would affect the offer made

Doubs was healthy in his years 2 and 3 and had 601 and 674 yards, on far more targets than Doubs had

More catches, more yards, worse QB… how is that not better?
why can't you comprehend targets impacts counting stats?
you think Brissett and year 1 of Maye were better than Love?

Open more, caught more, worse QB.

At 31 years old Hunter Henry had the first and second most productive seasons of his entire career with Drake Maye the last two years. The most catches and yards ever. But you think it has nothing to do with Drake.

Learn the game.

"open more" is meaningless

"open more" is meaningless
You preached separation for the longest time, now it’s meaningless. You think great receivers don’t get open more, you suggest all passing attacks are the same.

You’ll never be confused for knowledge.

separation matter with a player like Pop, who cant catch the ball if a defender is close to him
someone like Boutte or Brown, catch everything, if they are open or not.

Brissett threw too many off target passes. Maye doesn't. if the ball is near Boutte, or Brown, they are catching it.

"open" doesn't matter to a player like Boutte or Brown.

your jokes are funny
posters like to laugh at them
your football knowledge is weak.
you argue your points incessantly, even when obviously wrong.
posters don't find that funny
please stop

You’re right, Boutte is actually a 1400 yard receiver… Drake Maye has been holding him back.
