Cool Link Forged in Foxboro: Season 2

Links to cool things
It's a procedural delay with his and Lomu and thier contracts regarding the rookie wage scale..
Especially Jacas, as the second round is where the "battle" over guaranteed money happens now. Lomu will ultimately get a fully guaranteed contract.

Not really. Half the 1st round picks have already signed, and 20/32 2nd round picks, including picks 52, 53, 58 and 59.

A teary "I'm going to give you everything I got from day 1" works better for me when the player is actually doing that.

Most of these guys come from hardship..this guy was vetted like all players are or should be.. he's talking the talk so if he walks it then we got a talented guy.. he'll have to put in the work on/off the field.

Compare that to Karon Prunty's underwhelmed reaction when he got the call. I was wondering if Prunty was actually disappointed but most teams had him pegged as a UDFA.

Great points.. I thought that as well.. Nancy Mier who's retiring if you remember actually gave him the call.. imagine if he was actually disappointed? If so he won't be long in the league.. we took him in the 5th.. Hopefully he can turn out to show why he was worth the selection..

Prunty was probably a little thrown off having a female voice making the call.

What's great about the draft room scenes is seeing how well Wolf & Cowden work together. There seems to be a lot of mutual respect there, and across all the execs really. We have a great group in that FO, hope it can stay together.

I still believe There's a higher calling for wolf..I can see him leaving to take on a GM role elsewhere and then Cowden becomes the GM..here..

I agree completely. I think Vrabel brought clarity to what kind of players they want and to build the team they are trying to build, and the rest all work together to help him build it. They are doing a great job of creating a long term contender, which will almost certainly mean more Lombardi's.

I am probably in the minority, but I thought it was boring until they got into the draft.

Like some of you others, I did think the Jacas segment was great.

The draft was interesting. I thought they hit it out of the park with the first 3 picks, and pretty much sucked on day 3 (except for Crownover) Then knocked it out of the park again with the UDFA's

BTW- I heard a podcast, (I think it was Phil Perry), the other day that stated the Prunty "stood out" in the rookie mini camp.... which was nice.
