I suppose it will make those engaged in fighting sexism happy to note that pantytwisting *****ery is not limited to the ladies. This is a largely male venue, yet the squeals of affected dismay are as loud and persistent here as at any 1950's ladies' bridge club. That's the only good news I see in this pathetic display.

Fire Vrabel?!? For allegedly having an affair?

Any punishment he should face is with his family. If he cheated, I hope his wife gets everything she wants in a divorce if that is the route she goes. But I don't think even with a high profile job, that his job should be in jeopardy because of what he does in his private life that isn't illegal.

Yeah, for all we know Jen may let Mike enjoy some extramarital relations with a few chosen ladies. If so, it would actually be somewhat clever to get in bed with (literally) a national NFL reporter who has connections all over the league and can help you control the media to a certain degree. Etc. Of course, that's a pretty bad look for Russini but that's not a Vrabel problem.

Seems like 99% of the public assumes all of these to be true without evidence:
1. Vrabel and Russini definitely had sexual relations
2. Neither had permission from their spouses to do so
3. Both tried to hide it from their spouses
4. Their spouses are upset
5. Their spouses are going to divorce them

We have evidence of zero percent of the above. All you have is smoke that could lead you to believe maybe point #1 happened but it is a supposition and not a definitive fact.

There is plenty of evidence this happened. I would not call it proven beyond any reasonable doubt based on what we know so far, but to act like these accusations are being made without evidence is just not true.

It is more common than a lot of posters here realize for long married couples, where husband makes $$ and has power, to basically become roommates. Wife doesn’t want to sleep with husband anymore, but wants to enjoy all the trappings still. Husband doesn’t want to blow up the family, but also doesn’t want to take sex off his menu because the wife did.

Boom…”quiet arrangement”.

Now, usually these arrangements have an implicit “don’t be a moron and get caught” component so if Vrabes smashed Russini that’s just dumb and careless.

No, it isn't.

The undeniable fact is that there is evidence of an extra-marital affair. I won't say there is proof, but there certainly is evidence, enough evidence to make belief that something happened a very reasonable conclusion.

We also know for a fact that the Missus is a devout Catholic. That is not an assumption; that is a widely reported fact. There are countless articles describing how she brought him back into the fold after he had lapsed during his college days. There are also countless articles about them supporting their local diocese when he was in Tenneessee.

It takes a special type of moron to look at what we know and conclude "hey gee, maybe the devout Catholic wife of 25 years and mother of 2 is perfectly comfortable with an open marriage and polyamorous relationship!!"
