2026 Draft: RT

Statistically Campbell was better than Trent Williams his 1st season. Prefer Iheanachor at RT.
Way too early to consider moving Campbell.
He had ups and downs, but showed enough prior to injury.
Maybe in the future if he struggles, but far too early to consider that imo.
But like every position, the best players should play and we should field our best 5, camp will tell us who those 5 are.

I think the goal should be to build the best possible OL: athletic, versatile, and violent.

Will Campbell is clearly one of the cornerstones of this, whether at LT - the preferred and most likely spot - LG, or RT.

I believe AVT and Jared Wilson will be cornerstones as well.

I would like to add at least one foundation piece in 2026, the other in 2027. Max Iheanachor projects to RT IMO, but if he has LT potential that is additional versatility and value.

I trust Doug Marrone and crew to sort things out and develop them as needed.

FWIW…

Those are exactly the things I worry about with Burke: inability to redirect, and limited foot speed.

Poor man's Kadyn Proctor, which is not a bad thing.

Day 3, probably a swing tackle.

Travis Burke strengths via The Beast

Strengths

  • Gigantic frame, with above-average length and lean mass
  • Mean dude — won’t hesitate to grind defenders to the ground when he can
  • Improved strain effort to create torque and move defenders on angle-drive blocks
  • Better movements than expected for his size, with range to climb to linebacker level
  • Functional initial quickness to cut off backside on outside zone
  • Adequate kick-slide depth in pass pro
  • Flashes violence in extension to halt rushers, when he connects
  • Pass-blocking awareness went from marginal to serviceable (and shows glimpses of becoming a strength)
  • Offers experience at both left and right tackle

Weaknesses

Feet can get stale and cumbersome out in space
High hipped — not easy to sink and drop anchor vs. rushers attacking his middle
Mediocre change-of-direction to answer rushers across his face
Has trouble resetting his base and hands once he falls behind
Overly reliant on size to move bodies in run game
Elusive space defenders can avoid his climbs
Missed final two games of senior season because of lower-body injury (Nov. 2025)

I like Burke. A lot. He is realistically my OT5 after Freeling, Iheanachor, Miller and Lomu. But I am not sure he will turn into a long-term starter, whereas I am fairly confident the first 4 will.

Matt Miller has Burke as his 81st ranked player. I thinks it's starting to become clear that Burke is a 3rd round prospect and may not make it to 95. Finally some clarity.

I would not consider Burke before 95, personally.

Are you saying you would take him at 63?

Just something I noticed about Burke's pro day. His arms are now over 35".

I really like Burke, but i also dont see him as 3rd round. I think that has more to do with the lack of talent at T rather than him being worth that.

So you don't think he can be a long time starter after a year of seasoning?
I do, and that's definitely worth a 3rd rd pick.

Burke round 4 to me is a home run.

Burke at 95 is acceptable.

Burke at 64 is a reach of Cole Strange proportions.

Im not sure. Im yet to see him go against elite rushers for example.

I love his traits but i have no clue how it will translate. And fwiw i would be ok with him at 95, but again, thats because there is no one after him at T. Its certainly not a priority for me. I would rather just wait another year and draft a T higher next year if we cant get one in the first couple of rounds this year.

We do need 1 or 2 people to play OT this year...are you able to?
