It would be good to have another nice draft. We just had the best one since 2010, at minimum. That's why I don't understand why some are so desperate to trade a bunch of picks away.
Agreed here. As the roster is far from finished hence Vrabel has to gather a 90 man roster to enter the off season/camp with. So as of now the goal is building the roster and trying to gather as much talents as possible.

You mean exactly like the possibility that if Vrabel did his homework, he can draft one of the next top WRs with the pick he would have used for Brown? It works both ways.
Oh I know if Kyle Williams makes that jump we'll be sitting very pretty. IF he doesn't we kind of back to square one: I trust Mike Vrabel. That said A.J. Brown will make us a heck of alot better on Offense especially in the postseason. Our Postseason Offense was well words can't explain.
Brown would make the offense better. But in an ideal world, we use that pick to draft a WR or another player that makes our offense better long after Brown would be gone. We had a hell of a draft, I'm not as anxious to take picks away from the guys who pulled that off.
Look at the bright side if we get A.J. Brown He probably have three very good years left counting this one. Three year is a long time in Today's NFL. For comparison look at Davante Adams @ age 29: A.J. Brown's age this upcoming season well over 1500yds. Brown is far from done and FTR: I'm for the Continued Rebuild with proven Vets like Brown sprinkled in.
But the compensation will matter considerably.
I get what you're saying but if the Eagles didn't think Brown was worth it: they wouldn't have Traded for him and signed him to that Massive contract. We could honestly say that Trading Brown lead to Mike Vrabels demise in Tennessee. They went on a spiral after Browns departure: they then Drafted Treylon Burks to replace him Top 18 selection who turned out to be a Bust! Draft picks don't always work out.
Here's what I don't understand, 2. Your position that AJB will make us "a LOT" better on offense. Better than what? We were the 3rd best passing attack in the LEAGUE last season and that was accomplished DESPITE the fact the team ranked 24th in the league in passing attempts (502) with the 27th ranked Jets less than 10 attempts fewer.
Hope springs eternal ken: we have quite a few "IFs" if Wilson can get Stronger and not be put on skates at Center. Also if that MASH unit AVT can stay healthy. Here's my thing ken: I want Drake Maye Throwing to legitimate WR's like his Peers and not a room full of JAGS. Drake Maye reaches his Ceiling with a WR like A.J. Brown and a Solid Young up and coming TE. He will never get there with this current cast.
Gronk was considered a 1st round talent but he slipped to the 2nd because of injuries. We were lucky to get him in hindsight.
I suppose you point is that the team should hire you to draft a WR in 2027 who will be a better value that the 2027 pick.
