Better, younger, cheaper

Only say that cap is because we have so many other pressing needs.. primarily edge and OL.. we took K. Williams high last year.. I'm thinking could be rounds 3-5 we take a wr.. I truly believe they are taking the best available edge rusher at 31 provided they stay put.
I’ve been preaching edge or ILB at 31, but the more I think about making this year focus on the offense, and specifically a smash mouth run first offense, I’m becoming enamored with the idea of adding a true road grader OL if there’s an appropriate candidate available at 31.

I can agree with that... provided someone impactful is there if we stay put... but the vibes from the teams edge rush.. I absolutely like the direction the teams going in shoring up the trenchs.. smash mount running game and dominate front who can stop the run and make QB'S lives miserable..

Games are won or lost in the trenches. Thats why I’m always tapping the brakes on the Cult of Verticality love affair with WRs.

The BBM Brady Before Moss (TM) Pats showed that it didn’t take a killer receiver to win with a good OL and QB combo, because on most plays most NFL defenses will end up with at least one receiver open. You just need a QB that has time and talent enough to find them and deliver the ball to them.

We have a QB that’s good enough although still very raw. We are working on the OL, and it looks like we will be adding a solid running game. That seems like it will produce a stellar offense even without a cheat code WR.

I was a admitted cult of vertically member for a bit.. LOL however I've come down to earth. Agreed.. talent of course wins in this league and you have to have it in the trenches powerful linemen that can stand up DTs and Ends to make ground in the running game is pivotal for this team.

The teams upgraded already simply by moving Wilson to C.. we know he can play OG but his more natural position is C. I remember during camp how. M. Williams raved about Wilson's strength as a rookie.

I like our current group Doubs, Boutte, pop, Williams, Hollins and chism.

We stand to still add there but I wouldn't be disappointed if we didn't add AJ now I admit i want him but wouldn't be upset if we didn't get him. The trenches are what's most important.

The benefit we have is a young All pro QB that isn't going to just sit in the pocket if it's not there.. Drakes going to take off and keep his eyes down field and find the open guy.msuch a cheat code that most teams don't have at the position.. the entire offensive scheme benefits from Drakes abilities. Additionally having that smash mouth running game makes us very difficult for defenses to stop.
