2026 Draft: WR

You would think people would learn.
2007
Randy Moss: 98 recs, 1493 yds, 23 TDs
Wes Welker: 112 recs, 1175 yds, 8 TDs

And........

No SB VICTORY!

Now I will say we could/should upgrade our WRs, but this constant pining for every WR not on our roster is out of control.
Yeah. Thanks for the one data point.
If Moss only could have stopped the Giants on that last drive, they would have improved beyond 18-0…
Most of the recent Super Bowl winners had an elite #1 pass catcher demanding defensive focus.
Seattle. JSN
Philly. AJ Brown
KC. Travis Kelce
LA. Cupp.
Tampa Bay. Evans.

On OL, the interior seems set for now with AVT, Wilson, and Onwenu. Onwenu could be gone after this season, but that’s a next season thing. AVT could be injured. So could Maye.
At tackle, they’ve been emphatic that Campbell is the LT. They have a decent starting RT in Moses, but he could be gone after this season. That’s a next season thing.

So if you take OT in round one you’re sorta hoping he doesn’t play this year.
I’d rather get a 2026 impact player at WR now.

That notion Drake Maye could be like Brady is riddled in your post... that was when we had vintage BB and Tom Brady. We were the Best Team in the entire league from the Top Down thus the Dynasty. We are not the Best Team in this League anymore we have to get to that level with Actual Talent nowadays. An Elite Skilled Position Player can make Drake Maye better and not the other way around. Look at Matthew Stafford he has Never to thrown a bunch #3 WR's all his Time in this League. Stafford have always thrown to #1 Talent. Drake Maye will Never be able to make chicken salad out of chicken $h!t: Maye is not that guy.

Is Stribling Trending to Day 2 now?? I'm not buying into his sudden hype... there's quite a few Players in this Draft like him who we can get on Day 3.

After Chris Bell, Ted Hurst and Denzel Boston, there is a dropoff at the X-WR, IMO.

- I'm not sold on Chris Brazzell, Ja'Kobi Lane, Bryce Lance, or Malachi Fields.
- Antonio Williams, Skyler Bell and Germie Bernard are solid, but not X's.

I think given the depth of the WR position, someone is likely to slip to 125. I could live with any of them in that range, though my preference is Steibling because of his versatility, athleticism, and experience.

After that I go to Jeff Caldwell, Josh Cameron, Reggie Virgil. And after that J Michael Sturdivant and Noah Thomas.

Getting a WR that is an IMPACT player in his 1st year is a rarity. Having an OT who is ready to take snaps immediately, even if it means sitting behind Moses, would be a good thing. In the past, we've seen rookie OT thrust into playing time due to injury. Nate Solder being drafted to take over for Light only to have to step in at RT because Vollmer went down is a perfect example.

Most people haven't talked about an IOL as a 1st round potential. Most see better value in the later rounds with this draft group.

After OT, Edge has been the most talked about position. Edge is, arguably, the biggest question mark on the defense currently. Only Landry and the Patriots know Landry's status for the season. There have been plenty of rumors and questions about the knee with zero answers for the fans. They did sign Dre'Mont Jones. But he is a one for one replacement for Chaisson. The Pats cut ties with Anfernee Jennings despite his willingness to do whatever to help the team. That leaves Ponder and Swinson. Ponder showed promise and figures to be either the 3rd or 4th DE in the rotation. Swinson is a question mark. Despite the Pats promoting him to the Pro-roster to keep from losing him, Swinson did next to nothing last year. A 1st round draft pick figures to have prominent playing time. Particularly if Landry starts the year on the PUP.

The one position many have ignored for a potential 1st rounders is LB. Spillane is 30. Elliss is mediocre for anything other than rushing the passer. Britt is new to the team and primarily a special teams player. Muma showed nothing in his defensive snaps last year. Otis Reese and Amari Gainer are question marks. The Pats need a LB who can step in if Spillane gets injured again. With the team moving on from Gibbens, they don't have that.

This post is such garbage and shows your lack of understanding of the game.

Stafford has won the SB ONCE in his entire career. He had an very good O-line and an top 10 defense in 2021. That's what allowed him to be able to throw to the Skilled position players effectively. Someday, you'll understand this aspect of the game.

Your assessment of Maye is what is Chicken$hit. But that's not surprising. You've flipped on him more than a coin get's flipped at the start of a football game.

Chris Brazzell's low effort.

The first play is bad enough here but at least the ball isn't in his part of the field, but the second play is appalling. The ball carrier comes straight to him and instead of making an effort to block, he just wanders past the defender.

There are many data points, I highlighted one.
I could talk about how Chase and Higgins can't make up for the Bengals deficiency on the Oline and D.
How Puca and Adams couldn't get LA past Seattle.
How the Chiefs won a SB without premier WRs.
I have stated repeatedly I would like to upgrade the WR position.
I have stated repeatedly I really like Hurst.
I don't like him at 31.
My preference at 31 is, and always has been Edge.
Regarding getting an impact WR now, there are some really good options after rd 1.
There is no guarantee Hurst will be any better than guys that go after him.
And I would be surprised if Hurst goes in the first.

I'm not sold on Tennessee WR's either but Ja'Ko Lane did run very well and B Lance is Christian Watson lite. I have a soft spot for M Fields I think he going be a really solid Pro.

Daniel Sobkowicz would be a nice 7th rnd/PFA.

BTW, His 3-cone is 0.01 better than Edleman's.. The 1.53 10-yd split is 0.01 slower than Edleman's.

He's got excellent hands, good sideline awareness and can win the contested catches..

Daniel Sobkovic gives me Efton Chism/Lan Larison vibes. Very productive smaller school guys who are just good footballers. Nice find.

His 4.63 40 also gives me Efton Chism vibes.

I would really like someone with a tad more long speed, to turn those short receptions until long gains. High 4.4's-low 4.5's would be fine. But he sounds like another EC3, and we already have one.

Had to look far down the list to find this one. Reminds me of Gunner.

@Username actually found Sobkowicz a while back. I used him along with Kibble as a mention that I would be fine with a WR later on.
