Patriots Rumor A.J. Brown trade rumors heat up - Should Patriots get him?

A report indicating the Patriots are potentially in the market for this player, or have expressed or plant to express interest.
Well, it didn't help that Daniels was out injured after his rookie season. Many would say, that's the way the guy plays and the Cobra Commanders need to find a way to keep him healthy.
Always felt Daniel's was a bit slender for the QB position.. Hopefully he's bulked up and will come back healthy.

Denver has a great chance to make it to the super bowl next season.

I get you don't think highly of Bo but the pats barely beat stidham.
Like us.. Denver will be the hunted. They won't be sneaking up on anyone this season. As much as it pains me to say it your right on us barely beating Stidham.. but the playoffs had more to do with our offense went circa 2023.. in the postseason.

Nix is a jag. An average qb. Always has been. Always will be.
Despite a ton of talent on team, I'm not sure Denver even makes the playoffs this year.
Great post DD!!

Can Just add Seattle- no KWJ.. and Charbonet is recovering from an ACL thier offense even with JSN with be vastly diffdenerent. I say we win against Seattle.. I take it our offense will be a smash mouth running team and we have a great Man coverage beater in Doubs..

Josh Allen won't have 4 TOs again should they see Denver In the post season... also Trevor Lawrence carved up thier defense as well..

Denver’s strength of schedule was basically equal to NE’s last year. They will take a step back just like NE will. Denver also had the bye week, they only won one playoff game in 2025, NE won three.

Agreed! as for me Ross.. I don't anticipate NE to take a step back.. for a myriad of reasons.. this current leadership under Vrabel is set to up to succeed and be a contender.. if NE c stays healthy mainly at the QB position they will be in contention for the AFC again. The schedule is the schedule still have to play the games..

And the AFC West will be tougher next season. All 3 opponents, K.C., the Chargers, and the Raiders will be better than 2025. Combine that with a first place schedule and life will be tougher for them this year.

I think Denver has a better chance of being a Wild Card or missing the playoffs as they have to make it to the Super Bowl. Not that I think they were bad. I think they, like the Patriots, benefitted from an easy schedule last year. And I thought unlike the Patriots, they had some unimpressive wins against bad team or good teams with so many injuries that they faced the third string QB (see KC).

The Bills, in particular Josh Allen, gave away the playoff game against the Broncos. If Allen didn't make stupid turnovers, the Bills would have gone to Foxboro in the AFCCG.

They did have quite a bit of luck in 2025 which is very hard to sustain. KC had a similar season in 2024, but completely fell apart in 2025. With that said, Denver is way better on paper than KC is. However, Nix's health is a liability.

Every year is different, so we'll see if Denver can do it again. If the Chargers can makes some moves or land impact players on offense, they'd be my pick to win the AFCW.

How many will he have this time?
6?
7?
I see your point Tommy.. let me ask.. would you had felt better facing Josh Allen who carved us up 5 consecutive scoring drives in a row Or Jarrett Stidham who we barely beat in the AFCCG?...

Thanks for bringing up the health of Nix.. from what we know it's a broken ankle right? Now... guys have a hard enough time coming back from high ankle sprains.. let alone a broken one.. who's to say nix will be the same player.. not that he's some spectacular passer but he relies alot on his escapabiltiy..

Why I feel better about us?

Simple. Drake and Vrabel. This regime knows what the 2025 patiots were and all thier flaws. Hence Vrabel didn't bring back any of the some guys that played big roles in 2025.

He knows they need better at those position. He knows they far surpassed expectations.. however winning 10 games in a row wasn't a fluke and they put them in the postiion to make a run last season

History actually suggests he's liable to throw bad picks especially against teams with good defenses. 2024 is a statistical aberration thus far.

How so? Just wondering. I can see KC.

The Chargers should get two of the best tackles in football back next season ( Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt, that will be a significant improvement for them. The Raiders get the top QB in the draft, and signed Tyler Lindebaum and Nakobe Dean.

Interesting. I think the hump for Denver is much larger than KC. KC, with one of the best QB's to ever play, just need to get their offense back to scoring about 23 points. They would've doubled their win count. And that is easy to conceive. Their defense didn't look amazing, but they kept games within striking distance of Mahomes.

Denver, OTOH, too, has an offensive problem, but the hump is bookended by Payton, who has only gone the distance once with a historically good QB, and now has very flat QB, who is the other bookend here. Let's not forget how weird that whole situation was handled by Payton. Spoke on behalf of Nix, said it was pre-existing which Nix basically said "Not sure why he is speaking on what he doesn't know, that's not true", and he had to clean up and say it was a joke.

Hard to tell who will be better next season considering the draft and free agency haven’t concluded yet. We don’t even know the complete rosters yet. Too early to tell.

When will Mahomes even play? His mechanics are getting really sloppy - very late 90's Bledsoe esque and 2000's Favre. The street ball style is starting to catch up to him. Also, KC has been arguably worse in drafting WR's than the Pats dating back to the late 90's. So getting their offense back on track will be easier said than done. Kelce really should've retired, but I have a feeling he's coming back for the wrong reasons (staying relevant for Taylor Swift). Walker was a nice addition as they've neglected the RB position since they initially released Kareem Hunt. The defense is aging and lost their two starting CB's. Chris Jones is getting older. Denver's roster blows KC out of the water. KC isn't going to a threat for a while.

I think Nix's ankle could be a problem going forward. I don't know why they didn't target a RB in FA to help take the pressure off of Nix. I see them drafting one within the first 3 rounds of the draft.
