Do you think we’re done in FA?

For this FA. Imo they are one more FA/Draft after this season before they are "set". Still a lot of holes that the draft won't fix.

It's gotta be Munford. I am just as sure of this as the team keeping Jack Gibbens (I was pretty sure of that). Munford can play both sides and is still just 26 yo. I can't believe the plan was to let both Munford and Lowe go, not sign anyone else yet and hope they find a quality backup for 2026 in the draft AFTER they draft an OT in rounds 1-3. Hope is not a plan. IMO the Patriots and Munford have a verbal agreement,
Munford is still FA, Pats haven’t signed him yet. He reportedly had knee surgery so supposedly the team is waiting to see how he recovers.

But that means there’s a chance he’s not our LT2.

Agreed. I feel the same way regarding edge.. for example I'm sure Vrabel and Chaisson had a mutual want for him to return but Chaisson likely saw the edge market going off the map with contracts and wanted to wet his beak... can't blame him... the only thing preventing Mumford from resigning is the injury for sure the team likely wants a clean bill of health.. nonetheless this Puts more emphasis on Bryant and his development...

I don't remember Mumford doing much. Yes, he was probably a better blocker than Henry and Hooper but how effective was he. I'm hoping Julian Hill makes Mumford's participation unnecessary.

Who is the #2 LT?
That is the point. We need a #2 LT.

Hill's LT skills are bit weak for him to replace Munford as a backup OT.

You disappoint me. Are you just being a smartass or couldn't you understand that a real blocking TE might be better.

He is a depth player.. and primary because we couldn't get enough sound blocking from the edges of the offensive line he was put in as the 6th OL... so if anything he's depth especially with Lowe gone.. I don't even think we have a current back up OT on the roster do we?

And you are thinking that having a top blocking TE, as we now have, means that we don't need a backup LT, Munford's primary 2025 role on the team.

Like Brown, Munford filled in at 6th OL in jumbo packages, but that wassn't his primary role. Brown was backing up at jumbo back. LG, RG and C. We were glad to pick up Munford.

My thoughts right now. I'd guess we'll go LB and ED in rds 1 and 2 so i would assume they will adress those needs there. Unless they go WR which i would not be mad about.

We could use a #4 CB. We can't afford to use a high pick on CB most likely and any guy we get is likely a project. If not great. But someone like a Rasul Douglas would be a good vet back up option and only 4M or so according to sources.

If we go WR in rd1 I would like us to get either Cameron Jordan for 6M or so to help bolster ED or Skule to back up tackle who can be had for 3M most likely. Either would be decent short term insurance for a 1 year contract. I'd like Munford back either way.

There are many guys like these out there that fill in the last few holes.

Crickets the last week. I would take that at least as a good sign they don’t feel like they need to be plugging this roster in with a bunch of holes.

I'm pretty sure Mumford's primary role was 6th Oline and backing up RT. Vederian Lowe was backup LT. Mumford got a few snaps at RT to relieve Moses but wasn't really a factor there. IMHO

fair enough

Lowe was backup LT except when Lowe started.

Lowe is gone.

We need a backup LT.
