In my podcast feeds there are Jete fans such as Rich Eisen and Dan Hanzus basically trying to deflect the "LOL, JETE!" line by saying "look, they did something sensible". They need a QB, and they will pay this guy league minimum while the Raiders pay the rest. The thing they aren't factoring in to all this is This Guy SUCKS!

To me it's pretty simple: Do things that make your team better! Your fan base already hates this team. You had three (count 'em, three!) wins last year. Why bring back a has-been and a reminder of one of the worst eras of Jete football? If you aren't gonna make the team better and are gonna tank, why not spend that league minimum on a UDFA QB, or steal a young practice squad QB off someone else's roster?

Yes, the Patriots can still flaunt the fact that they were able to speedrun their ascent back to contention, something the Jets have failed to do since the glory days of Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez.

But fans need something, and the Pierce whiff can be that one thing that holds them over until the Jets finally turn a corner and flip the rivalry with New England on its head.

I think they're the ones who whiffed, big time.

The only way to make sense of these picks is Glenn is trying to save his job by spending big on defense while letting the offense rot on the vine. Hopefully he keeps his job since he sucks, but I doubt he'll make it through the season.

Imagine that the Jets draft Geno Smith and he was a draft bust. Then he leaves the Jets and becomes a good QB for a few years. Now he sucks again and gets benched for being awful. And then the Jets trade for him again. Is there any more of a Jets move?

Of course most of them will be cut when da Jete fire Glenn and they get a new HC who wants different players.

He loves the physical and emotional pain. I was watching one of the Raiders' blowout losses last year where he could barely move, and he kept coming back for more punishment for really no reason.

He probably also wears nipple clamps under his jersey.
