Then why did they agree to the trade? They knew that he was coming off an injury and had surgery in JAN.
Crosby's doctor said that he's progressing from surgery BUT there was a stress injury to the bone. You add that to the previous Knee surgery and the previous ankle surgery on the same leg and there are red flags on it.
Crosby certainly isn't worth 2 firsts.
Because who is going to trust them now? What other teams will want to do business with them? They agreed to a trade then blew it up because they misjudged what Hendrickson's market was going to be and when it was a more manageable number than they thought they pulled the plug on Crosby.
The “outrage” is because most people, including me, feel they reneged because the signed another player and they are full of **** when they say it had anything to do with his injury status.
Then Kraft would sue/go after the league accordingly. Unethical? Maybe. Illegal? No. Baltimore technically broke no rules that deserves a suspension/docked picks.
The timing is bad, but is this process unusual? How many days should it take? How many days are allowed by the NFL normally?

His doctor doesn’t say that. He says the early stages of rehab are going well but the timing of evaluating him is bad.
