They could finalize the trade for AJB...There is absolutely nothing the Patriots can do to satisfy the crybaby contingent of their fan base.

I think we learned our lesson on that type of decision with Jakobi Meyers, no?Boutte is a free agent after this year. Not sure he is going to be resigned.
We would need him to:yeah, i cannot disagree with anything you said... still, i think we could have gotten one more good year out of him before jettisoning him... cest la vie
Sure they could. They just blew 20 mil in cap room on him. Can’t afford an actual number 1 now. So the option is to rotate him and Boutte as your number 1
We also know what Doubs is which is a LOT closer to Boutte than a true top receiver. I guess if you’re spending money to make people happy it’s acceptable but overpaying him and taking yourself out of the running for a real top WR. What does he add that this team didn’t already have?
I love this time of the year. It's a GDT every hour for a week! There is absolutely nothing the Patriots can do to satisfy the crybaby contingent of their fan base.
Doubs is going to play a lot more slot than I think people realize.X: Doubs / Hollins
Z: Boutte / Williams
Slot: Chism / Douglas
Room to draft/trade for a "true" WR1 but that player would displace someone.
Douglas has a level of explosiveness that many of our WRs do not have. Why would Pops "walk" if we replace Diggs with Doubs? Is he retiring? He is under contract.
As of now, Pops is still #5 and Chism is still #6.
Grats, we got a younger, cheaper, suckier player... pardon me if I don't dance a happy dance over the decision making so far...Just got 7 years younger and 6 million cheaper.
I know. I thought the same thing. "Wait a minute, you said we should have taken Doubs in the 2nd round!"Doubs is going to play a lot more slot than I think people realize.
It's funny, the "usual suspects" in this thread are the same ones who were crying we didn't draft Doubs in the first place.
Which is fine. Unless the play is to dangle Boutte as one of the players going to the Eagles this doesn’t make any sense. Even then you’re going to have to figure out now how to make the Brown contract work.X: Doubs / Hollins
Z: Boutte / Williams
Slot: Chism / Douglas

Did you actually look at his playing history before spouting off or nah?Typical bargain basement shopping from Krafty Bob. Plus, just like I said when they signed Davante Parker, Doubs is a concussion guy and he'll probably miss 2-6 games every ****ing season....absolutely awful ****ing signing and a waste of $. A bad character guy - quit on his team and flew the coop and got suspended for it. And Krafty Bob raised ticket prices and he has a joke of a FA period. Awful, just awful. Doubs ****ing blows. He's no more than a 3 or 4 and the Pats are loaded w those guys
"Suckier" is a stretch.Grats, we got a younger, cheaper, suckier player... pardon me if I don't dance a happy dance over the decision making so far...
I could see it! Hollins may also play some slot. It's a neat concept, deploying a "jumbo slot". I think McDaniels may make full use of it.Doubs is going to play a lot more slot than I think people realize.

That's the 'his knee is shredded, the season is over' guy, because he had a towel on his head.Did you actually look at his playing history before spouting off or nah?
