Patriots Rumor Tracker / FA Signings (Updated: Signings in OP - 4/7)

Yeah, I loved him as a rookie prospect. He did a lot of dirty work for the Chiefs and has barely scratched the surface. I just wonder how he’d be used here, Vrabel prefers small quick LB’ers.

Tavai would have been too expensive to cut last year plus he was dealing with something to start the season. They were basically forced to roster him. He was gone quickly this offseason.
The Pats did a lot of mug front blitzes in the playoffs with their linebackers. I feel he's perfect for that role. If I was Vrabel, I would sign Chenal with the llong-term view of being Splliane's replacement and being a multi-purpose defensive weapon this year and draft a smaller quicker LB in the draft. Except, you won't find many that are actually quicker than Chenal.

Hey SFBs, Andy. I do. He's talking about players that the Eagles have already lost this year. Sit down, you fool.
No, he is not. But don’t let that stop you from being a ****

If he's the best WR, why are the Jaguars potentially getting rid of him at a bargain price within his rookie contract?
Hello manx did you forget they have Travis Hunter who they might like as a WR going forward?? Also Parker Washington emerged last year with TE Brenton Strange also they Traded for old friend J Meyers. They also have Dyami Brown who flashed in the Playoffs with Jayden Daniels a few seasons back. No room in the Inn for Thomas Jr??

I am really hoping for Leo Chenal from KC today. If ever there was a Vrabel type guy. A more explosive Hightower type LB. 6-3, 250 and an elite athlete (40" vert, 1.55 10 yard split). He can give you reps off the edge and even had reps at DT for the Broncos. He's very good at shedding blocks too.
If we got him and Muma came around we would have an incredibly athletic LB room

Yes, Please!

If they signed him I’d be psyched, he has versatility and talent in spades. Vrabel would find a way to get him involved. I don’t give a damn about “scheme,” just speculating based off what we know about Vrabel so far.

I wouldn't hate a Thomas Jr. trade especially if they are targeting the position in the top of the draft. The pause is why is he on the market; what is going on other than production is down. 23 yr. old who has had success in the league. I could take a chance on that if it costs just the 31st pick.
It should Thomas Jr. was the 23 pick a few Draft back....but the experts ne here are going to tell you ain't worth it.

That's...literally not how the MVP voting works.
I've been telling him it's Doubs since the middle of last season. I don't think they'll overpay for AJ Brown, and the BTJ thing is odd. Productive WR on a rookie deal. The only thing that makes sense to me is they want to parlay him into a R1 and maybe a R3 deal and better another position someplace else, make them more a more complete team. Otherwise, even if he's regressed, his replacement won't be cheaper.

I had to go look for it, but I was pushing for Chenal in the first round the year he came out.

This is another reason why I'm uncomfortable with BTJ. They announced they are making Hunter a full time CB and only a part time WR so it's not as though they are replacing BTJ with Hunter.

Now i'm worried I'm getting everyone's hopes up. Chenal is my no 1 target for today but I'm trying not to get too excited about the possibility just in case.

Well Beggars can't be choosers: the Guy had almost 1300yds his Rookie year. IF this is all we have after moving on from Diggs: we have problems.

It's March 10th. Let's see what happens.

He has been on my list of wants, but have kept it quiet. I liked him and Muma both in the 2022 draft

Dyami Brown is a Free agent.
It's already been pointed out that Hunter is going to be used almost exclusively at Corner this year.

Side note but all the chuds in this fanbase that whine every year about how we didn't sign "player X" or the "Why aren't we making any moves?!" are so tiresome. I feel like I have said it 100x but I swear our fanbase has to be dumber than the average by quite a bit.

Some of you just want to get something for nothing. I would do Brian Thomas Jr for 31 and the Jags send us Third back in return.
