The best defenses in the NFL are only going to get like 5 sacks a game at most but teams throw it 30+ times. Being able to impact the QB on other plays is critical.

I won’t be surprised if they sign Chaisson at about the same money. Otherwise they still need help on the edge with Landry very questionable. If they don’t re-sign Chaisson they’d need a big name addition to upgrade at edge, drafting a rookie won’t be enough. I’ve been expecting a double-dip, adding an FA and drafting a developmental prospect. Signing Jones and losing Chaisson is not adding anyone.
