I would need a cleanup crew in here if we got Robinson. If they're looking to one for one replace Diggs' production out of the slot, Wan'dale Robinson is worth a look as a slot. He'd be your typical high volume slot here in McDaniels' offense like he was in Daboll's last year. A guy like Pierce would have and a guy like Doubs would be a more traditional outside X receiver, pushing Boutte primarily to Z and KWilliams/Hollins/Douglas/Chism giving you different flavors of slot receiver. So it wouldn't have been as one for one as Wan'dale Robinson would be.
Is there really much whining?People whining about this signing, don’t truly understand football and the impact he could have.
What kind of clean up??I would need a cleanup crew in here if we got Robinson.
Just draft Branch out of GA in the 2nd of that’s the play. Bigger and far more explosive . Less $$If they're looking to one for one replace Diggs' production out of the slot, Wan'dale Robinson is worth a look as a slot. The problem there is that you're paying a lot for a guy who would only play like half the snaps last year of Diggs' usage was any indication. So for half the game he's not contributing, compared to spending on your outside WRs that can play in any formation.I would need a cleanup crew in here if we got Robinson.
Draft is an option too but we have $50M+ in cap space so makes sense to sign some good players somewhere. They aren't just going to sit on that much cap.Just draft Branch out of GA in the 2nd of that’s the play. Bigger and far more explosive . Less $$
Agree there isn’t much, just the select few combined on here and Twitter or whatever it’s called now.Is there really much whining?
Even amongst casual fans it seems Pardon My Take's constant fullback love has even wiped out casual/young fans complaining about fullbacks. It's lowkey a beloved position now
My point is Branch is much better than Robinson who is Pop’s sizeDraft is an option too but we have $50M+ in cap space so makes sense to sign some good players somewhere. They aren't just going to sit on that much cap.
The Patriots desperately needed a FB last year. Not a sexy signing, but a necessary one.
Put your feet up, take the rest of the day offWell then it appears my work here is done
He also could be a bust. And you said take him in the 2nd... what if someone moves up for him? It's difficult to just pencil in a guy you're going to get that far down the draft board and automatically assume what he'll do as a rookie. My point is Branch is much better than Robinson who is Pop’s size
Problem there is Drake is AWFUL at sneaks
And what were Lampe's results? Feel free to post them.. OH WAIT. You can't. Because he wasn't a Combine invite. You only have his Pro-Day numbers. They measure athleticism every year at the combine and at pro days…. but you’re right, that’s just science.
I watched every snap that kid had. He will not be a bust.He also could be a bust. And you said take him in the 2nd... what if someone moves up for him? It's difficult to just pencil in a guy you're going to get that far down the draft board and automatically assume what he'll do as a rookie.
It's not a great spot to be in to be counting on a guy contributing day 1 and needing a certain spot. They have $50M in cap space so I expect them to fill all their roster holes with viable NFL starters and then supplement in the draft. Wan'dale may not be a target, but I'd be shocked if they don't add some type of viable starting receiver somewhere.
