Patriots Rumor Tracker / FA Signings (Updated: Signings in OP - 4/7)

You don't think that Maye will help elevate players around him?? WOW..
He will. But not to the extent that Tom Brady elevated receivers.

I have a hard time imagining this is the WR group they plan on going into 2026 with. If it is, they are in trouble.

The Eagles probably know the Patriots are desperate for a WR right now. So they will not back off on the reported compensation for Brown.

Bellinger missed 5 games as a rookie.. And 1 game in 2025.. What injury concerns?
His concussion was pretty severe. Fractured orbital bone (eye socket), fractured nasal septum. Required multiple surgeries and a stent placement in his tear duct to prevent scar tissue buildup.

Whoa…jets pashrush wil be nasty. Better fortify that O-line Vrabes
I don't agree. Ossai and Enagbare are rotational players. The Jets DTs are meh since trading Quinnen Williams. Both have issues setting the edge. This might take some pressure off Will McDonald, but I don't think they'll be as nasty as you think..

But he's since played 3 seasons with no side-effects from that Injury.

I look at the receivers stats among the free agents and for guys like Pierce I was expecting about at 50% increase in production just playing with Maye

I'm sure he'll get more than 50 catches next season but I don't put Jones in the same category as Maye (and hence I don't think it was worth it for the Colts to tie up that much money in Pierce, but what's done is done)

Is Belichick in charge of this years UFA plan?

I worry about concussions, they’re cumulative and players retire early. Like I said, if he’s healthy he’d be a great signing.

Maybe Pats will draft 4 WR and see who sticks? I’m only half joking as it almost makes sense with these WR prices.

One hour in you think that’s it, this is the team?

Hooper won’t be back…

They're tanking. He's a stopgap to throw the league off the scent.
Not that they have a lot of cap space, but seems to me if they're going to be bad, the best way to do that is to "waste" cap space on one player and then just have a bunch of rookies and cheap players fill out the roster.

They'll lose AND identify some good players among the JAGs.
