As we head into the offseason, if you see a new report on a player, please feel free to start a new thread. If the mods feel it deserves to be in an existing thread, we'll merge it.
Casual people who come here and scan the board are looking for new happenings or recent developments. Mega threads are where things tend to get buried, and I've moved posts by people who were kind enough to post a news report into their own threads.
@SammyBlueCat did a good job of that by posting the thread on "Seattle players having a tell" in its own thread, rather than burying it in the postgame thread. And I moved out the post by @thecore762 , who posted about Campbell admitting he's been playing with an injury, which was previously buried in the "Will Campbell Watch" thread. Same with Keion White being shot.
Again, people scanning the forum are looking for recent news/information to talk about, which is what we're always shooting for in here.
So don't be afraid to start a new thread if you find news that people haven't seen. If it needs to be merged, we'll merge it. It's a community, and no one will ever be mad about anyone trying to help keep people informed.
I think it's safe to say most people appreciate that. So I would definitely encourage people to try to lean toward a new thread on anything that makes you go, "Wow, I didn't know that," rather than looking for a thread you think it might fit into.
