Congrats Adam!

Many voters voted for Drake. So he never got the MVP but he was 1 vote from the winner. Incredibly impressive.

This fan base is proud of you 10 and you are playing in the last game of the year. Our QB and thankful. On to SB 60. Get that rest son.

Lock in. 1 game. Way TF past my bedtime.

LFG

This is a dude who gets to vote for the MVP.

Acting like one of the resident patfans dinks for the world to see.

What a turd.
That’s the thing to keep in mind about these awards. They are voted on largely by members of the media, and members of the media are largely made up of idiots who don’t know what they’re talking about and just have their jobs to get views/clicks/engagement via making people angry.

So you legitimately have folks like Dan Orlovsky who was a god awful player, like probably one of the worst NFL QBs to play, then becomes a media member whose sole job is just to be a **** and yell and scream, and he votes for this stuff.

And we have guys like Munson having a breakdown on Twitter because they can’t handle being politely criticized for voting for Justin Herbert.

So the whole thing is kind of pointless.

HoF has been devalued, now the MVP award has been as well. Good job NFL.
A career achievement award for a guy who isn’t even retiring, he said he’s coming back. So like… what’s the point? The argument against Drake was “he’ll have more chances” but so will Stafford…

I am stunned Verbal won COY. Stunned. Then again nobody really cares about COY vs MVP.

Maye is gonna have a tough road to win the MVP in the future no matter what he does. The bar has been set, if he couldn't win this year, no way they will award him it in the future. Someone else will get it. I can think of a couple off the top of my head. Allen, Dart, Lawrence, Staffy, Mendoza etc if any of them are close to Maye, they will get it.

How does one of the worst QBs of the modern era have the privilege to tell me who is and isn't an MVP simply because he has privileges for decades that most of us are not privy to?

What can he say about the sport that his awful play didn't already say for him?

So - is this just the “formula” now? If you have a good offense with a slightly older QB, just have that QB throw a lot of 1 yard TDs instead of running the ball and he’s a lock for MVP! Don’t worry about INTs, don’t worry about rushing, heck you don’t even need to finish first or even second in your own division. Just get those passing TDs and be nice to the media for at least 10 years and you get an MVP award, yay!!!

He barely won it.
Anti-Patriots bias is incredibly real. It's not worth denying it or being mad about it.

When Drake is winning with advanced stats then they’ll give it to a guy based on raw stats. When he’s winning with raw stats then they will use advanced stats. When he is winning with both, they will just give it to a running back.

I definitely watched Herbert turn into a pumpkin a few weeks back while their defense kept them in the game.
He really was not good this year. I don’t know how anyone can defend the vote.
He played bad, but should be MVP because his line wasn’t great is the dumbest argument ever.

The stupid thing if say Lamar is clearly the best QB next season numbers wise and Drake is 2nd, they will give it to Drake cause Lamar has 2 and Drake got robbed this year.

That's why the voting is so dumb, rather than just give it to who deserves it when they deserve it they BS around with narratives and who's won before and who's got a storyline then they correct it when they didn't deserve it.

Exactly. Like I said, he need to go somewhere else to be considered seriously for MVP.

It really just comes down to the voters being mad that they couldn’t give it to Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes again, and they sure as **** weren’t giving it to a damn Patriots QB again so they latched onto the next best thing with a pulse.

Orlovsky has become such an opinionated know it all ****. He was dead wrong about Maye coming out of the draft. He said he would take the most time to develop and that he had many mechanical flaws to correct.
So to protect himself he kept bad mouthing Maye all year long and boosted his buddy Stafford.
Similarly Cam Newton (drag) has been bad mouthing Maye all year and I honestly believe that influenced some voters.

Come on..Stafford had Puka and DaVante Adams....Maye had Diggs and Boutte.

Also why do the voters have to factor in whether a qb may not get a chance at the map again because of their age.
Just vote who you think was more deserving.

Well Sam Monson just killed his little podcast, he doesn't even realize it yet.
That’s another thing, when you check the bio for most voters, 90% of the time it just says “co-host of ______ podcast” and that’s about it.

Not that I’m a big defender of legacy media, but I feel like if your only current “credential” is that you are one of several hosts on a podcast, you aren’t worthy of voting on this stuff. And it’s not just him, it’s a lot of them. Like Borges, he literally has nothing going on - not even a podcast. Just nothing.

Maye has a chance to win the only MVP that actually matters on Sunday.
He does that, nobody will care except for the 27 seethers that voted against him.

Borges has a vote? I thought that was trolling earlier.

Hahahahahahha
