Good thread. "If"

Came here to share this but figured someone already covered it. I’ve been out of pocket sick all week

Anyhow, I actually didn’t mind the Bills/JA….they were always the “awwww” little nephew that shows up at your house for Christmas…

But lately JA has become such a whiny little beotch, and now this….lmfao

Have you guys heard what Sean Payton said in Denver? While the Bills imploded, now the Broncos could be next with Payton telling the media he wouldn't have drafted Bo Nix had he been aware of his prior ankle injuries. Apparently, Nix had surgery in high school and college. The recent injury wasn't a fluke, but inevitable according to the Doctors. If I heard correctly, Nix fired back saying it along of the lines of it not being the team's business.
Just like the olden days.

Patriots win a big game. The other team can't handle it which leads to internal finger pointing.

I'm all for ****ting on the Billdos but it's kinda annoying we have about 5 active threads about them. It's the kind of stuff we used to make fun of in other fanbases' forums.
Agreed.

I hereby vote for the mods to merge the current Billdos threads into one main thread for them, and might as well make one for the Fish, so all 3 division rivals have their thread for news and updates.

The main board should be primarily Patriots.

I second the motion.

We are in a nice cul-de-sac.

The Bills are in a trailer park.

He’s been unlikeable.
I didn't watch the video, but curious what makes you think he's unlikeable?
The only thing he does that bugs me as his career progresses is looking at the refs for a flag ever time he gets hit. He never use to do that when he was younger, but to be fair, just about every QB does the same thing, Brady use to do it as well.

I always thought Allen seemed OK until just recently. He comes across as self-important, like he's bought into the hype coming from Pegula and the fans. Staging his own press conference right after Brady was announced was a bit much and his role in McDermott's ouster is highly suspect.

I've always thought he was a good dude.
I haven't really been paying attention to all the post-season stories coming out of Buffalo, so maybe I'm out of the loop.
He does seem like the type of guy where winning is extremely important to him, so if he was involved in Sean's firing, one would think he has seen things behind the scenes that we are aren't privy to that would justify the change.
There are a lot of unlikely dbags in the NFL, I certainly wouldn't put him in that category, even if he is a heated rival.
Just my opinion.

True, but it does seem a little disingenuous since he is the one that cost them the game.

He's also the reason they won a lot of games.
The roster around him is not good.
The defense is a sieve.
Their WRs stink.
If he isn't superman they don't win, the GM and coaching have failed him imo.
Put Drake in the divisional round against Denver with Buff and do they win? I don't think so.
Put our D in that same game with Buff O and do they win, I believe they do.
It's a team sport. QB is obv the most important position, but Buff's roster is not good. He has to be the best player on the field every week for them to have a chance.
Our O the past 2-3 games has struggled and our D balled out and picked up the slack, we don't win if they don't dominate like they did.

Regardless, he did not DO HIS JOB in that game.

He made some terrible plays no doubt.
His fumble before halftime was one of the worst football plays I have ever seen.

This was a good post. I don’t think he’s a bad guy, but this was a good description

Sounds like a stupid thing to say

I never said he wasn't the real deal. I said he's not the GOAT. could he become the GOAT? Sure, but he's not yet. I felt the same thing about Tom before he got #4. I thought it was disrespectful to Bradshaw and Montana, but to each their own.
I didn't mean to imply that you said he wasn't the real deal. I was talking about my own perspective that nobody would ever come close to Brady but that kid started to make me nervous.

I get so sick of the "if we had just made that one play" argument.

You didn't. Most cases, the opponent may the play and they stopped you. And every halfway close game can be dissected and you can come up with a what-if / woulda / coulda / shoulda.

I mean, take the 28-3 comeback. I have watched that countless times and on one rewatch I kept a running log of the times "if this play doesn't work, we will lose" and there were, if I recall correctly, 13 such plays. You know how clutch a team has to be, in order to be 13-13 on do-or-die chances?
Brady in an interview mentioned that the team had to make no mistakes in the comeback and they didn't.

The Falcons did though. When they completed the pass to the 22 yard line all they had to do was take a knee or run up the middle a few times and then kick the FG to go up 11. Instead they ran a pass play, got sacked, and then threw another pass and got a penalty to put them way out of the chip shot FG range they were in.

Not to mention how many seconds they still had on the play clock when they ran their plays after they had the big lead.

They were so poor at it that there was still almost a minute left when the Pats tied the score. I was wondering why the Pats rushed so much on their last drive and it was because they needed to leave time on the clock for an onside kick in case they didn't get the 2 point conversion and needed a FG.

Chess vs checkers.
