This makes perfect sense, just not football sense. Brady is controllable, this is part of Beane's power play. That guy must have serious issues under the surface, all the better for us I suppose.

It was Phillip Rivers and Joe Brady. And Phillip Rivers took his name out of it.
So technically speaking, Josh Allen wasn't part of the "narrowing down process", where they narrowed down from 2 people (Brady and Rivers) to 1 person (Brady), because they got there via Rivers just taking his own name out of the race. What a convenient technicality for Josh.
This should really end the Josh Allen Glazing and Apology Tour at this point.
